simarjit kaur is a gursikh from in england, primarily working in punjab, and presently visiting vancouver.

she is also the author of a few novels, including "saffron salvation" - an internationally acclaimed novel about sikhs in punjab during 1984.

she has extensive experience with issues of poverty, human rights, and womens rights in punjab.

furthermore, she is interested in promoting creativity, writing, novel-writing, movie-making amongst sikhs, about topics related to sikhi.

therefore, she will be holding workshops on these topics at the guru nanak academy (in surrey, bc, canada) in the coming weeks.

workshops will include a presentation from simarjit kaur, discussions, refreshments, and you will also get notes to take home on these topics.
