umm i just emailed the hahapanties people and got an immediate response:

Thank you for your calm and respectful response. I have taken the Sikh

thong down. However, I have recieved numerous hate mail from several of

your friends from the waheguroo.com website and now have a bad taste in

my mouth for anything Sikh. I ask you as the calm person your email

shows you to be, to ask your forum members not to send emails full of

swear words. It is hard to take someone seriously when every other word

is F***.

Thanks.

Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa!

Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!!

^_^ :TH: thank you for writing a calm email bhenji

Logo: an identifying symbol or motto

To make things even more interesting, symbols can mean more than one thing. The most famous example is the Swastika. Before you get all uppity about me using that as an example, go ahead and read the link.

I am a huge baseball fan, take the logo for that and put it on whatever you want. I also enjoy bicycling, deface that sport however you want. I don't go to church much so you can also do whatever you like with any religious symbols as I won't really mind.

I like how I was censored replying to a post about censorship. It's a really open minded community you have here.

just because they took it off the site doesnt mean we've 'won'.

we managed to achieve what we were aiming for, but now the guy has a miseducated view of sikhs..... which was kinda the reason the thong was there in the first place

and also, they took it off the cafepress site but it's still there on teh hahapanties site: http://www.hahapanties.com/index.ppa?store...20and%20Holiday

UPDATE: ok.. nevermind... as soon as i hit 'post', i went back and refreshed that page again, and they all changed into teddy bears :umm:

The price is high to compensate for future legal costs. Thanks Sikh Youth!

Alright. Whoever emailed him cussing, you should be ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES. The point of asking people to email wasnt so that you offend them and piss them off. Is this how gursikhs behave? I am tired of seeing all these so called Sikh youth nowadays swearing up and down fighting with each other taunting each other. Is this what sikhi is about?

GROW UP..

If it was up to me, I would find out who was cussing and get them banned. But its not, so you are lucky.

Sorry, my constant dissapointment in the state of the youth today just seems to keep growing and I have to let it out somehow.

Whats sad is when they said that they have a bad taste in their mouth for everything sikhi because of all the swearing....

:umm: just a request to the sangat, when you do email, please try to make it professional and refrain from swearing next time. we represent the whole community when we email on an issue like this...

However, its good that we made people aware. Thank you for writing that email bhainji

Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!!

On behalf of all the ppl who insulted this guy....I apologised for all of you....and Manjot is right you should be ashamed of yourselfs

this is the reply i got

Thank you.

I understand that not all Sikhs are that way.  Its the same way that not

all Americans are a certain way or all Christians are a certain way. I

hope that in the future the other members of your site will understand

that not all Americans are against Sikhs or Hindu's or Muslims.  Most of

us are all very laid back people.

These kids dont realize that they dont hold a right that "does NOT allow them to be offended"

There is no right in America like that.

Sikhsangat is a bunch of very open-minded people....look at all the kind responses I got :umm:

they see it one way, or they see it no way.

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
