What do you do when your peaceful protests are met with brutal or deadly force?

Seeing the current Palestinian and israeli conflict with heavily armed border guards shooting dead over 15 civilian protestors and injuring more than 1500 using disproportionate use of deadly force.

The heavily armed british imperialists in india cane/baton charge injuring or shooting dead or executing Indian (often sikh) dissidents who wanted to free India from foreign rule.

Seeing how our own Sikh peaceful protests in punjab were met with deadly force by the heavily armed Indian authorities from 1950s-Present day.

The south african white apartheid regime that had ruled south africa treating blacks with similar status and  similar use of force

How do you fight a state power enemy or opposition group that is armed to the teeth, with huge resources with numerous regional and world power allies yet you have very little to counter that in this day and age?

Is it better just to not bother and let your peoples lives, land and rights be trampled over or do you fight back with violence no matter how high the cost?

When two tribes go to war the one with greater numbers or firepower usually wins that battle at that moment but not always the war if its pro-longed over decades. The battles of forceful  people over peaceful people as history of human civilization itself

Mainly I think the fight is informational.

If protest is required, be ready to fight on your terms, when the peaceful protest is made violent by the oppressors, and fully.

You keep chipping away on as many fronts as possible until those who write the narrative of society deem your cause worthy of being noticed. If you're lucky, the cause is promoted and championed by these social trendsetters and mood-makers. Then watch how it passes into the acceptable and normal mainstream. Until then, be prepared to be demonised, slandered, and killed. It's all one disturbing game; disturbing because what's at stake are the lives of millions.
