Good on harman singh

But seriously apnay Sikhs and asians in generally really need to stop being convenience/ off-licence shop workers its a huge risk to life especially in countries where workers are not allowed to keep weapons to fight off armed attackers. The number of Sikh workers murdered in america by non-sikh armed scumbags must be more than 50 since the year 2001.

Why can't shopkeepers carry weapons to protect their own business? If a normal citizen can carry one, why can't a shopkeeper?

The thing is, shopkeepers are most likely to be at risk than an average citizen.

No idea why but it seems in most US states they not allowed??

I know for sure in the UK and most european countries shop workers are not allowed to be armed for a strange reason maybe they think they will use their weapons on innocent customers or against their co-workers during some heated arguments?

In the US it is definitely allowed. Some corporations may have a policy against it, but legally speaking you can shoot, stab, bludgeon, beat or otherwise mayhem somebody if they try armed rob you like that, with basically whatever weapon you like.

Thank God Harman Singh prevailed. He also chose not to kill the guy at the end. Good on him.

My dad used to keep my junior cricket bat behind the counter.

Also those Stanley knives we used can also be useful for self defence.

No, they are allowed, generally.

It's a separate matter that some employers (like 7/11) may advise their employees not to fight with robbers, and simply give them the money.

But if you own the store, you can certainly defend your property, with weapons if desired, and that includes firearms.

OK, so a > 50cm sword (19in) would be disallowed.

So can you walk around the UK with a kirpan (3ft) or not? Does anybody have a definitive answer on that?

Does the guidance on 50cm swords countermand the guidance on kirpans given above?
