How does one do seva of Satguru maharaj?

Gurbani puts emphasis on doing seva of satguru maharaj. Seva has everything within itself. So my question was 

How do you do seva of guru sahib? What do you have to do?

The Seva written within Gurbani is basically all the Dharma actions you could do that would bring you closer to God.  such as rehat, taking Amrit, doing good for the world without the desire for reward, singing of Keertan, dasvand, keeping of sanjam, nitnem, discarding bad attributes and taking on of good ones and of course maximum amounts of simran.

In some passages of Gurbani it will say do the Gurus Seva and in others it will say do the Gurus hard work.  In others it will compare the soul to a bride that should please her husband.  In others it will compare the mind to being a goblin ghost that can become a Devta

The rich poetry that Gurbani is is one of the reasons why it is so Grand

some believe that females are not meant to take amrit , so does that mean they think that Gurdev Pita ji wrote Guru Granth Sahib only for Guys ? Perhaps I will hear them say next that females are not meant to read Guru Granth Sahib ji that they have to be reborn as men to be mukht ....(sigh)
