Type 2 diabetes is a reversible condition

Recommended Posts

I Would suggest anyone with type 2 diabetes look at Newcastle University's work. Low calorie diet can reverse it

The Counterbalance study published in 2016, demonstrated that Type 2 diabetes remains reversible for up to 10 years in most people, and also that the normal metabolism persists long term, as long as the person doesn’t regain the weight.

Our work has shown that type 2 diabetes is not inevitably progressive and life-long. By identifying the cause of the condition it has been possible to design appropriate management. We have demonstrated that in many people who have had type 2 diabetes for up to 10 years, major weight loss returns insulin secretion to normal.
