Great video, very beautifully explained. Just to add, its our clinging to thoughts,  mind in ignorance gives birth to five vices. No clinging, no pushing or grasping thoughts =  no fragmentation of thoughts = no vices eventually giving into Achaal morat anubhav parkash amitoj khijaie , our real being(atma-pure being awareness) naturally is in sehaj- equilibrium state , once it takes full center stage its realized, then atma  expresses itself in non fragmented way where these concepts/relative reality- 5 vices doesn't exist. But if one wants to break down for understanding purposes- anger is transformed into bir ras, lust energy is transformed into creative energy, greed and attachment into de-attachment, ego is transformed from body/mind identified focalized consciousness dies into infinite consciousness/awareness without any separation with absolute reality.

The way daas understands it is that the “5 evils” are just manifestations of Ego, which is the root cause. To kill the leaves, one must kill the root, ego, or else the leaves will keep coming back.

This is how I understand it as well. They reduce significantly but are not completely obliterated.

It would convert, for example krodh will become bir raas, lust would become pyar for the world etc

Krodh - Daya (and Bir Ras)

Lobh - Santokh

Moh - attachment to Naam?

All of the above is collectively Sat? Or maybe Sat is opposite of hankaar because that is the ultimate truth - no duality?

Only for the weak minded. The origin of all is without ego, as long as the ego exists of course the 5 Evils will exist. Bani clearly talks about killing the Ego, it doesn’t tell you to hold on.
