Amritdharis marrying hair-cut spouses - <banned word filter activated> Jagmeet Singh ?

Recommended Posts

Guest Jagsaw_Singh

With Jagmeet Singh this week publishing photographs of him and his bride to be something struck me: If an Amritdhari girl with a dastar started parading around photos of herself with her boyfriend / soon to be husband and that husband happened to be a fella with a jazzy b type stylized hair cut would any of us have the same reaction we are displaying towards Jagmeet ? Would we be saying "aahh...what a lovely couple" ? or would we be saying "<banned word filter activated> ???". So why no fuss over Jagmeet's bride who is not only not amritdhari but also not long -haired as she keeps it cut and styled to just below shoulder level ? Where's the outcry ?? Doesn't anything mean anything anymore? Does gender, money and power buy you priveledges from your faith's rules ?

somebody should explain to the two of them that amritdhari sikhs should also have likewise spouses irregardless of gender of amritdhari person . As far as his cringeworthy proposal vid shows (released today ) she shaves her pits, does her eyebrows, trims her hair also and probably her legs as she is in the phashion trade.

His political opponents say he is a man of style but absolutely no substance, who will say and do anything to accumulate power.

The Sikh masses like him because he makes them feel that someone 'normal' just like them has risen to the top. There is nothing 'normal' however of being born into a millionaire doctors family and spending your whole childhood in an elite north American £35,000 a year boarding school. In that respect we've simply replaced the usual rich priviledged lot that take power for granted with another one that looks a bit more like us.

What kind of 'Amrit' was it that Jagmeet Singh took that makes him think he is above Guru ji's hukam and maryada ? Like Trump, is it not another case of the rich and powerful thinking they can make up their own moral codes as their lust / ego desires.

He’s a solid banda who is fighting for Sikh causes

He's an opportunist who will say and do anything to satisfy his ego for power. To the Sikhs, he tells us what we want to hear. To the masses, he also tells them what they want to hear : Like his promises to legalize all Heroin and Crack Cocaine in Canada if elected.

This video is all about warming to those sceptical White Canadians. PR exercise nothing more.

In his first ever interview when he became an MP he said he used modelling in fashion magazines as a springboard to become an MP. His political opponents even today say he sets up media confrontations in order to sell himself. This ego obsessed individual lives and breathes PR. He plays us as well as he plays the media.

Besides there are 101 Amritdhari girls who walk around who also wax and pluck so I don’t think Jagmeet Singhs fiancé can be pulled up on this yet

Two things there: They recently got engaged but he's stated they've been boyfriend and girlfriend for a long time now. Not only does that beg the question if she hasn't been able to take Sikhi on board after a few years what makes anyone think she will now but also what ego within an amritdhari man led him to chase and persue a sexual relationship with a waxed and hair-cutted girl ? Secondly, there is absolutely nothing wrong with any person wishing to cut their hair. That is a personal choice for each individual and must be respected. The issue however is that this man baptised himself into the Khalsa and that Khalsa has a code of conduct (maryada). Maryada is Guru ji's hukam. Apparently he thinks he is above HIS hukam. We, as HIS sons all have a duty to pull this man down to his rightful place.

He is a good politician and lets leave up to that. They groom their lifestyle in such way in order to win votes. He is just a politician, we should not expect such people to be pious religious figure.

Too much ‘Krodh’ will your destroy your soul. You should do breathing exercises and do lots of naam simran. This much nindia, hatred and jealousy is not the way of a Khalsa.

:hairan: Uugh ? Show me krodh and show me anger ? I merely stated a widely held belief about someone. Is it because my font was in black and size 11 font that you sensed anger ? :hairan:

Seriously dude....he ain;t my son, dad or brother that would bring personal feelings into it. Lighten up :ehhh:....He's a politician in the public eye and both me and you are members of the public. Politicians rely on and feed on the public's ignorance and inferiority and the public have a duty to always hold them to account and bring them back down to earth. Seriously, how on earth do you start dreaming 'anger' and 'krodh' into this whole thing ? :hairan:

Never mind about her armpits, what about when you were dating a Brazilian non sikh boyfriend before you converted him and married him? Why was that OK but this is not?

Does that include you too?

In an earlier forum, you described your husband as:

"He is a sikh but is not at the point of amrit because of his parents interference/emotional blackmail which Guru kirpa is lessening as the truth of their natures is coming out .I am waiting for him ."

So how come you didn't marry an amridhari? Why are you declaring that amridhari should only marry an amridhari when you ignored that and chose to convert a Brazilian Christian instead?

    • Anyone new to this forum might think it was a place to discuss rear pleasures or excretions. Try and display some control of your fetishes. MODS need to update their banned word filters or at fhe very least warn repeated gutter posters who just have it in each for other. All for free speech but this thread has warped into something vindictive.

Err no......that's not a fact. That's your sensationalist factually incorrect anal hyperbole again! You really do need to visit a colo-rectal specialist with some urgency to find out why so much tutee is coming out of your mouth. The full list of non signatories is here. See what I did there? Showed evidence of a fact. Not empty my anus on a forum for no reason, unlike you.
    • https://medium.com/incerto/the-most-intolerant-wins-the-dictatorship-of-the-small-minority-3f1f83ce4e15 Interesting article from Nassim Nicholas Taleb regarding how halal has got it's way in the UK. It is quite long though.
    • Jus Reign is technically correct in his argiement that Sikhi isn’t a religion, however I don’t think he thought about this on a deeper level, and just made an edgy statement that happens to be true once examined on a deeper level. Guru Nanak Dev Ji never intended to start a “religion”. Sikhi isn’t a “religion” it’s the Sach Dharam. This modern day “Sikhism” most people follow is an Abrahamic knockoff created by the Singh Sabah era with the help of the British, which takes away Sikhi’s universalist Dharmic framework, and replaces it with this abomination calles Sikhism. Jus Reigns statement also comes from a place of duality. For any educated Sikh, it’s obvious that Guru Nanak never “left” us, and Guru Gobind Singh Ji is just the same as Guru Nanak, who is just the same as Siri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. The Guru is the Bani, the Bani is the Guru, and within it all the Amrit is contained. As for his comment about rocking the Turban and doing whatever HE wants, from a Sikh point of view his completely wrong. The entire point of being a Sikh is to recognize your own defincies and realize you cannot achieve anything by yourself, this is why you dedicate yourself to an enlightener (Guru) and follow his teachings. Bani time and time again tells us to destroy this false sense of self (ego) and recognize the One. Sikhi isn’t about following yourself, it’s about following the One Guru. When a Sikh, especially a “Singh” (Man who has received Khand Di Phaul) as Jus Reign claims to be, wears a Dastaar (Turban) then they are representing the Khalsa and the Gurus Saroop. Of course there are things you cannot do, like smoking, drinking (He drinks), or other immoralities because reflects back on the Khalsa. When you go out and do something retarded it reflects bad on that real Singh who keeps the 5K’s, who gets up at Amritvela, who follows Rehat, etc. The fact is that in the modern day, especially for someone who uses the Khalsa title of “Singh”, wearing the Dastaar is not a joke. It’s either you follow the Rehat and maintain proper conduct in the world, or take off the Dastaar, and remove Singh from your name (which you didn’t earn in the first place).
