Do they say Vaheguru ji ka khalsa Vaheguru ji ki fateh or no?

Some might, but most don’t. This is mainly because they reject the authority and beliefs of the Khalsa, otherwise they would have the dignity not to create their own Gurus.

When Jagmeet was running for party leader, the first thought that came to my mind was that it’s going to be our own people that try to bring him down.  That’s exactly what happened.  First the moderate sikhs went to the media and tried to paint him as a terrorist as he was trying to get the 1984 massacre recognised as genocide.      Then Indian politicians turned on him and basically said he should mind his own business and not be concerned with what goes on in Punjab. When people thought he was single, the goray thought it was normal but the apnay started spreading rumours that he was gay.  Now people are saying he needs to be brought down because he’s not marrying and amritdhari?

It’s easy to be critical, but I’m just happy he found someone to marry because at 38 it’s not an easy thing to do.

?

I 100% agree with you, and couldn’t  have said it better myself. It’s truly sad then Sikhs fight other Sikhs for petty reasons, and can’t even put aside their differences.

It is well documented that when Sikhs run out of enemies to fight, they fight each other, but today we have clear enemies and can’t even put aside our differences for them. This kind of infighting is exactly what lost us the Sikh Kingdom. When will we learn?

somebody should explain to the two of them that amritdhari sikhs should also have likewise spouses irregardless of gender of amritdhari person . As far as his cringeworthy proposal vid shows (released today ) she shaves her pits, does her eyebrows, trims her hair also and probably her legs as she is in the phashion trade.

Didn't u just post a video about Nindya?

Is this post really sikh like?

It's not my place to speak on this.

We all have little foibles or slips.

I feel that sister jkvndon got off that horse a few days ago.

I think it is a sensitive issue for her, because she, possibly like many amritdhari women, felt under valued by mainstream sikh beauty ideals contemporarily.

Here they are being amritdhari, but it doesn't appeal to male lust in the modern age.

Without pointing fingers at anyone else, maybe a better way to focus the issue would be a topic worded "honoring the beauty and value of our amritdhari women"

If all the women only seemed attracted to shaved men, we would see a decrease in amritdhari men and the men who still chose to be amritdhari might have hurt feelings and feel passed over.

I agree with you LightofNaam, I said something very similar. Afterwards however I found out she's been heavily trolled on this site, and tried to look at it from her point of view and I felt a little guilty. The hurt she is speaking from is probably shared by many others, but as you pointed out when we speak out of hurt against another its not our best moment.

Her post is according to Sikhi.  However your post in the other thread on what is nindiya is not Sikh like.

Judgements etc are false.

Such blanketed statements are false.

Gurus taught us to live n let live.

Why did Sri Guru Nanak dev ji go to mecca and point his feet at the kaaba.  Live and let live Sri Guru Nanak dev ji.  They want to bow to a stone, let them live Sri Guru Nanak dev ji.  There is more examples but I only need one to show the fallacy in your belief.

We don't force our views on others, we simply teach.

And she is teaching the young gullible people what jagmeet Singh fiance mistakes are and jagmeet's. You want to preach but you can't even teach.

Always look at and better yourself before judging others.

There was no judging.

Make sure you take the advice in the video before u tell anyone else to, that's important. Gurbani says that hypocrisy isnt compliant with Sikhi.

Guru sahib says to be a man and address the person directly instead running around doing  nindiya.

Start off by not slandering people on this forum and by not judging others.

So you need to stop being a hypocrite.

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
