The guy that had eggs and wine, I am fine with eggs, NOT WITH WINE

Of course this is only my opinion and I have nothing against your opinion, or anyone else's Ji, but I don't really agree with egg. Not trying to cause an argument or anything - just I don't agree with it Ji and even if I wasn't told by Panj Pyare that eggs weren't allowed I still wouldn't eat them.

When I took amrit the feeling was amazing the panj chor seem to attack you more so when you do take amrit do extra path because the panj chor attack you more but when you do more path the panj chor decrease. Don't worry about anything if you have any major questions feel free to PM me.

As I received amrit in October last year, I noticed that I have a big responsibility.

I noticed that the baani I was reading even before amrit had now given more of a brownie point than it did before.

I was staying away from the panj chor for a few days as if Maharaj himself was holding onto me, like when a father helps you to ride a bike.

People acted a bit more strange around me. Bullies would cut down on what they say.

This is temporary though, you maintain all this and much more when you maintain baani naam and seva.

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh!

Blessed with Khand DI Phaul Vaisakhi 2017 at Anandpur Sahib. Immediately started to notice a lot of changes, overall happier, calmer, more focused. I also noticed that all of a sudden Bani makes more sense, Kirtan sounds better, and learning Sikhi just feels easier. I also noticed that when you just think of Amrit (Khand DI Phaul) you can taste it in your mouth, but that went away for me after a few days.

My best advice would be to maintain a solid Rehat, and just request a Hukamnama to ask the Guru for advice on what you should do.

The final thing I would stress is that Khand Di Phaul isn’t the end, it’s just the beginning. Anyone can go drink sugar water, but truly giving your head is what being an Amritdhari is about. You will be challenged like you’ve never been before, and by the grace of the Guru you will realize the One.

Thank you all Ji. It's an interesting read and many of these experiences seem, in some ways, quite similar. I think from what I've heard from others as well is that Naam and Bani need to be consistent and major for you to really experience the true benefits of Amrit.

I'll admit I'm not that nervous but I'm full of anticipation for when my life really begins on the day of being blessed with Amrit Ji.

Vaheguru Ji.

Sangat Ji, with Maharaj Kirpa, I am looking to be blessed with Amrit in the coming months and I have an idea of some of the things that will change but not 100% sure on what exactly and how large the impact of Amrit will be on my life. My question is, for those who have been blessed with Amrit, what were/are the major changes you noticed in your life in comparison to your "pre-Amrit" life? You can be as open or discrete as you wish Ji.

Vaheguru Ji.

Depends on the individual state of mind for some its awakening-new way of being at some level due to amrit intensity, for some its bhagti bhav, for some doing more patt and mool mantar jaap, for some getting used to do amritvela doing 5 nitneems, 2 in the evening, for some its devotional singing-kirtan, for some its going to gurdwara every day more often, and seva. And those who also rush in to take amrit after listening to pumped up parcharaik (i'll use ranjit singh dhandrianwale divans in the past for example) also feel huge interest spike in daily nitneem, sikh way of being for few months then it kind of dies out as they have taken decision in haste or due to trend.

Sikh and Khalsa way of being is life long journey towards knowning your real self- jot saroop and abiding in sehaj avastha.

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
