@jkvlondon Any tips on how to throughly wash out castor oil?

first can't use castor oil uncut  need to thin it with another oil say sweet almond oil and you should use only a small proportion  .

Apply conditioner first whilst hair is dry for while before shower then twice wash with shampoo using lukewarm water leave the soap to act for longer . Can add apple cider vinegar to final cool rinse if it bothers you the cool water will seal moisture into hair

But what ever you guys so never use amla oil. In my opinion itd is good if you got short hair and want it to grow, but other than that never use it. I remember using it a few years ago, it smelled so much(it wasnt bad but smelled to much). My hair grew so much, it used to reach to my stomach but now it reaches to my knees cause of it.

Guys, no amount of this Oil or that Oil will help your Kesh.

The main problem you are having due to damaaged hair is coming from what you EAT.

Get into the habit of eating FRESH WHOLE FOODS regularly. Drink Plenty of water throughout the day to keep hydrated.

You will see the results improve rapidly within days, if not weeks.

It's important to monitor what we put in ourselves that determines our overall Health.

Yes, the Oils have an impact to a certain degree, but nothing compared to consuming Fresh Whole Foods. Just search online for examples.

Phase out the Fast food, fizzy drinks, sugars from your diet.

You will 100% see and feel the difference in your overall well being too.

Put it this way, no amount of Paper will cover the cracks, no amount of lies cover the Truth. Get your foundations right first, in our case - Correct DIET. You will benefit effortlessly.

Yes, but oils can help if you have dry hair then oil gives it that moisture and it won't break with repeated use. My mum used to put oil on my hair since I was 1-2 years old and now I need it because it feels different when I don't put oil on. When I wash my hair and it dries and before I put oil on, my hair is soft and silky and I still put oil on. Oil does nourish your hair and I do agree, diet has a big impact but oil is also good for your hair.

shampoo hair using reetha (soapnuts) and limes. it willl prevent premature greying, strengthen hair, remove dandruff/scalp acne/dirt/grease. see this link its a recipe by Sant Hari Singh Randhawa. (I use the same quantity but scale it down. So i take 2L water, 6Limes(400g), 40 soapnuts (200g) and boil till water quantity is reduced by half. I then cool it and rub the soapnuts to extract all the foam then strain the mixture and pour it into a large water bottle and shake it up before using.

Avoid all chemical shampoos they contains loads of harsh and dangerous chemicals many of which are carcinogens and irritants. https://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2016/04/20/soap-shampoo-toxic-chemicals.aspx

You can oil your hair using sesame oil esp in a cooler climate like UK. its the best oil for skin/hair/teeth/bones as per Ayurveda. In a very hot climate you can use ghee/coconut oil as these are coolants. https://easyayurveda.com/2014/09/29/sesame-oil-better-hair-coconut-oil/

The only problem with coconut oil/ghee is the smell that lingers after washing. I know in the past Singhs used ghee to oil hair but haven't figured out how they got rid of the smell it produces. Ive been using sesame oil to moisture my body/hair and its wonderful and there is no nasty smell...you can get it from any desi shop its the ayumi brand https://groceries.morrisons.com/webshop/product/Ayumi-Pure-Sesame-Oil/294998011?dnr=y

You can even mix the sesame oil with some freshily squeezed amla juice as required to make your own amla hair oil.

Personally I use this homemade desi shampoo once a week and then oil my hair well. The rest of days you can wash your hair with water only.  This is the best way to protect your hair.

I mentioned sesame oil is really good. it is used traditionally for indian head massage too. For the added benefits of amla im am going to try and make this homemade amla hair oil using amla powder and organic sesame oil (which i have ordered from holland and barrett). The only downside is that it seems time consuming but if you make a large batch to last 6months+ then i think its worth it.

As mentioned previously commercial amla oil even from pantanjali/ramdev contain hazardous chemicals so its best to prepare it yourself.

Also there are other health tip videos by sant hari singh randhawa which are good to watch. e,g

To improve hair,eyes/vision, digestion, internal organs and to remove chronic diseases long term triphala use is recommended (for many years). It is better to make from scratch to be on the safe side and to ensure the health benefits as many commercial factories can prepare the herbs in a way that is destroys the active components and adulteration is always a risk.

For long term use take 3-5g/teaspoon triphala powder in a cup of water and heat up like you are making tea (till water reduces by half). Cool down and drink at bedtime. ensure that you don't eat anything or drink milk 1hr before or after taking triphala.

Based on my own research I have also started to take giloy(guduchi) once during the day (teaspoon in water, heat till reduced by half) which cures many diseases and acts as a rejuvenator. I recommend reading up about it https://easyayurveda.com/2014/05/18/different-uses-of-giloy-in-different-diseases/

IMPORTANT INFORMATION PLEASE READ AND DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH

Nature is best. If you want to know why people are suffering from disease/health issues just look up the ingredients that are in everyday products: eg toothpaste, mouthwash, washing up liquid, detergents, soaps, shampoos, oils, vitamin supplements, even pharmaceuticals and vaccines!

Its so shocking but there are so many carcinogens/formaldehyde releasers/endocrine disruptors/ toxic ingredients that there is not one commercial product that i have found which is truly free from anything harmful. (I think this is done deliberately by design)

As a consequence I have been looking into natural alternatives and will share some examples of what i use.

Hair: soapnuts with lemon as a liquid shampoo. organic sesame (till) oil post wash. (i did use coconut oil but stopped due to the smell and getting headache/dizziness)

Soap: pure olive oil soap...[ papoutsanis https://www.amazon.co.uk/Green-Pure-Olive-Soap-Papoutsanis/dp/B00BAWZPFM/ref=sr_1_1_a_it?s=clothing&ie=UTF8&qid=1515942539&sr=8-1&keywords=papoutsanis  ]

Toothbrush/toothpaste: Miswak (which is a datun) followed by oil pulling (with ghee/sesame oil).

Cleaning dishes/clothes/surfaces: soapnut liquid.

Deodorant: Lemon/lime. squeeze and apply juice to armpits. prevents body odour. i have been doing for years.

Eat raw/organic foods. (inc organic atta, organic brown rice)

Drink raw milk. (People in London go to your local farmer's market (Ealing, Twickenham, Chiswick etc) Supermarket milk is homogenised (passes unchecked into bloodstream along with toxins and xanthine oxidase->linked to heart disease) pasteurised (destroys nutrients/beneficial bacteria/completely sterilises milk rendering it dead so synthetic vitamins are added which is what you read on the label.)

Avoid refined sugar at all costs (WHITE and BROWN) and new artifical sweetners. Use jaggery instead.

Avoid table salt. Even himalayan pink salt i have suspicions about since its chemical composition is 99%NaCl, lacking Mg, K etc. Plus ive seen biotech/chem companies which only sell hazardous chemicals also selling this salt  for some reason, which sent the alarm bells ringing.

Find an organic, unrefined sea salt without any chemicals/anticaking agents, from an unpolluted water source like this one https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Coarse-Organic-Unrefined-TRADITIONAL-SEA-SALT-hand-colected-Premium-Grade-1KG/112037864235?epid=1123159891&hash=item1a15fa232b:g:DCwAAOSwTm9aNaoW

Avoid anything with MSG http://www.truthinlabeling.org/hiddensources.html  http://www.msgtruth.org/avoid.htm

Make ghee at home instead of using margarine/vegetable cooking oils/olive/rapeseed etc.

Don't be duped by fear mongering e.g all this low fat nonsense and the cholesterol myth. All these organisations spurting out health advice are funded by pharma industry so they have a vested interest in making you sick and stay that way so they can profit by putting you on their drugs for life. Scientific literature and 'evidence based medicine' is also compromised and is just used as propaganda to further their agenda (i know from experience). http://whale.to/  (good info on health)  https://medium.com/@kevinmgeary/is-the-american-heart-association-a-terrorist-organization-f1c8c98d28ea

Traditional/ ancient wisdom had to be crushed for the allopathic/pharma industry to be successful.

The propaganda has been so successful that sangat are asking for less karah parsad for fear of getting cholesterol!

People have been fooled so much but its harder to convince them that they are being fooled.

Also cook in iron not steel or aluminum vessels because the metals leech out into the food. Metals like Al are linked to cancer/Alzheimers/dementia etc  and steel is an alloy with elements e.g. nickel, chromium, titanium which can cause similar problems.

Stick to what our ancestors did and you cant go wrong.

Realise that fear is the biggest weapon used to influence our behaviour and is an entry point for us to be exploited.

I know that tap water is really fully of nasty chemicals like fluoride so drink water based on the analysis by west midlands against fluoride action group website. http://www.wmaf.org.uk/index.php?content=content&parent=41&read=41&keyword=

Hard water can damage hair and body so i would suggest using a water filter in the shower or using an acidic rinse like lemon or acv to remove any build up/residue you get from hard water.

I have heard about fluoride being good for teeth but from what ive read it actually damages the endocrine glands like thyroid and has been linked to mental illness so I avoid it by buying tesco ashbeck water. I know that namdharis use spring water and if i get a chance ive always wanted to stock up on some fresh water from the springs in Worcestershire.

very useful information wow! Didn't realise how much crap was in all those things. Im going make changes to ditch all chemicals and reap the benefits.

did you know that smart technology like smart meters wifi emits loads of microwave radiation and its been linked to disease like cancer, heart and brain damage? its classed as a 2B carcinogen by the World Health Organisation.
