Celebrating the birth of Jesus

Today is a day many of us will be tucking into our mince pies and celebrating the Birth of Jesus. We will have christmas trees and all kinds in our homes to mark the event.

Yet how many of us celebrate the Birthday of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Or even know when it is for that matter? 

Just one example of the white washed Sikhs of today. Who know more christmas carol songs the shabads.

No Sikh is celebrating Jesus' birth. Most just care about getting presents. Especially kids.

 

Anyway who decided Jesus was white:

Instead of calling them whitewashed, why not understand and explain where the problem roots from.  Just maybe one of these whitewashed people will wake up.

I almost missed it while I was admiring my Christmas Tree and eating mince pies while Christmas Carols were playing in the background.

NOBODY is celebrating the actual birthday of Jesus because

1. he's called Yeshua

2. He was born in summer , whilst sheep were grazing in fields/hills

3. All the feasting is to do with 12 days of celebrating the winter solstice

4. Nobody know exactly when he was born

5. Everybody is worshipping Santa instead who is based on the norse Krampus legend who was a demon, to justify this they link Saint Nicolas a 4th century Greek apolistic saint.

6. People are doing it even though they know they are being hypocritical, where's the truthful living?

do you believe that  Guru pita ji wants us to fix on dates or  the Gurbani , the parkash purabs or the rehit?

why are we making the same mistakes as the Christians they never used to celebrate birthdays now it's all about the birthday , they were told to not attach to the created but the Creator they couldn't stop themselves from falling in that pit and now we Sikhs are copying like lemmings and jumping off the same cliff.

Even I've seen misguided sikhs getting cakes made up to celebrate their kid's birthday , prakash diwas of Guru Sahiban etc from outside and giving out in gurdwara after doing ardas ...it's getting a bit ridiculous . When I was little we were taught that birthdays were times to contemplate what we had done so far to become closer to guru ji
