Healthcare happiness or not so happy

I work in the health field.

Used to believe am lucky because in my job can make people happy, make the most of their lives etc.

But as per Gurbani without Naam, all other types of happiness are transitory. Once we die you could even say it was pointless.

So really... whether I make people happy or not, as per workplace, world we live in yes making people happy is greatest thing

as per Gurbani- does it really matter? (any shabads re this?)

P.S. obvi just can't drop Sikhi into every patient interaction you know, can only focus on myself always being in state of remembrance and praise.

Really am just a puppet playing my role X_X

Guru Har Rai Ji had opened a hospital specifically to look after the sick. This is an important seva as only the sick or when we are down and not feeling good- we all know how helpless we feel.  We can never quite forget the hope of our suffering being eliminated we get simply by seeing the doctor.

Being in the health field can be draining too as you feel you are always giving and not getting.  However that is when you need to refresh yourself and remind yourself of the great importance of your seva. Do look after yourself too and give yourself good time.  Perform your simran daily for refreshment.

Be kind to all beings-this is more meritorious than bathing at the sixty-eight sacred shrines of pilgrimage and the giving of charity.

By doing Seva (service) & being Dayalu (compassionate) you are following teachings of Gurbani.

By doing your job diligently & honestly you are actually promoting Sikhi.

Majority of people hate & turn their backs on Religion due to corrupt Priestly class & Religious leaders.

Doing good deeds you are helping restore their faith in Almighty & humanity. So keep up the good work.
