New Zealand Sikh killed after falling from rubbish truck

AUCKLAND – A young Sikh man in his early twenties has died after being hit by the rubbish truck in Tuakau, Waikato. Kamal Singh was a rubbish collection worker, and as per initial reports by the police he fell off the truck and died after being run over by it. The accident took place on Alexandra Redoubt Road shortly after 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 14. Kamal’s family has been notified of the incident. Kamal’s friend, Daljit Singh, said Kamal had moved to New Zealand from the Mansa district in Punjab and was living here on a work visa. Kamal Singh is being remembered as a charming, friendly man, who always helped others. It appeared he had fallen from a rubbish truck and died after being run over, a Police spokesperson said.   Thanks for this. It combines the four approved sources (Guru Granth Sahib ji, Dasam Granth Sahib, Bhai Gurdas ji (both Vaar and Kabitt), and Bhai Nand Lal ji in one place. The English translation is the Sant Singh Khalsa and the Punjabi is the Principal Sahib Singh. These aren't that great, but at least they are better than some even worse ones floating around these days.
