Thats why our giani ji told us to shut our eyes... and he dimmed the lights. We had real fun.   Divine bliss. Our concentration was only on the one God. We hope he forgave our many sins that instant.  I tried hard to look at the other ladies suits but could see nothing.

I left the gurdwara with a completely different sort of bliss that day. Dhan dhan giani ji. I think he lives in India. So next experience when he returns.

Dimming the lights is a good idea, as I have problems with bright lights and it would help with concentration. But penji, my post was written in a joking way. I don’t do that myself, but I can imagine others doing it. My concentration tends to divert to other things.

Doabe gyani ji, I looked at some auntyjis suits n wanted the same one. I was trying to concentrate, but ki kara ina sona suit c, mera dhian ode te c. Fer main dream kardi c, ke kaash mera v suit ida da hunda, nice nice. ?

In the Name of Akaal, of Guru, and of Shakti. Gurprasaad.

My Children, you have both committed venial sins, and with such you have weakened your bond with God. You must repent.

Kira My Son, for your penance there must be an act of contrition for your overbearing greed; prayers are to be held and there must be the giving of alms. The prayers of Japji must be recited and 5 bowls of communion are to be prepared which the congregation shall receive. For almsgiving you must set up a communal meal.

You are forgiven.

Simran My Daughter, for your penance there must also be an act of contrition for your ignornace towards the Name of the Lord; there must be 5 hours remembrance and recitation of the Name. For the period of 11 days you shall only wear a simple white suit. For almsgiving you must donate clothing of the highest quality to the needy.

You are forgiven.

Victory to the Lord!

If you really must go for pesh, just say kaam di galti ho gai. Or some variation of that. Make sure you're clear it was with your husband though.

Still don't think you need to go but up to you.

We all have difficulty penji. Halfway during  the katha I remembered that I had not locked the back door.  Going back home would get me a mad hubby. So I was so scared,  I was saying bye to the computer,  my cards, my mobile and any money plus anything else valuable.  Then I thought I am in the gurdwara,  God can't let such a thing happen. Then I relaxed and then started thinking perhaps I had locked it.

I concentrated a bit more on the salok mahalla nauva. Forgot all about the door,  came home slept. Awoke next morning.  Before going t the gurdwara the next morning,  my husband asks - who left the door unlocked? I had no words. We slept the night too with the door unlocked! !!!!

Simran, My Child, your attitude is not in the least bit pleasing to God. In fact it is an affront unto the Holy Laws of God and the sanctity of the Sacrement of Pesh. I cannot absolve you of your sins as you have not shown a commitment to be truly repentant which you have demonstrated by saying that you will "try".

11 is an auspicious number in the Church of Nanak, for the Light of The Lord shone through 10 forms and continues to shine through the 11th.

White is the colour of the robes of Our Heavenly Father symbolising piety and purity in both thought and action.

For your soul I will say 11 Hail Bhagautis.

Gurprasaad.

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
