Do any of you know a list of Sikh orphanages. I would like to go to India to volunteer.

Barhu sahib take many poor Sikh children and turn them into Gurmukhs.

Pingalwara (Amritsar) founded by the late Bhagat Puran Singh.  Although not just an orphanage but also a shelter for the vulnerable and elderly.  Truly amazing place and the story and forward vision of Bhagat Puran Singh is worth reading up on before visiting.

Are there people who regulate and do continuous checks of these places and staff? 

Considering how messed up care homes here have been, I assume the risks of child abuse in India are much much worse. 

Is anyone experienced enough to volunteer to do regular spot checks etc on any sikh orphanages?
