So since before taking Amrit I had a habit of flirting with girls and getting with them. I thought all the attention would go after taking Amrit but it didn’t ? long story short, I have a problem I always flirt with girls, but they are the ones that start the convo off. I NEVER go up to a girl and start complimenting it’s the other way round, it’s always “yours eyes are really nice” etc.

This girl and I have been talking for about 2 days, she told me I would look better if I take off my very faint monobrow, she said that even though it’s not very visible, everybody says it’s annoying.

So I shaved it off this morning, after that I was eating and it got stuck in my throat, I then had a sore throat all day and my ears were burning. Just about an hour ago I have been sick and it was disgusting. My stomach still hurts. I was fine yesterday, was this a punishment????????

SRM mentions FOUR BAJJAR KUREHITS...
1. dishonouring the Kesh - cutting, trimming removal colouring etc etc.
2. Consume Halal meat
3. Consume drugs tobacco etc
4. Cohabitation with someone not ones spouse.(adultery).

ONLY these are punishable. Punishment is appear beofore the Panj during an Amrit Sanchaar...tell them the kurehit and reasons if any and they will decide the punishment- most common is paath/sewa in a Gurdwara etc. THEN the kurehiti will be readmitted via amrit sanchaar once more.

These are at LOCAL LEVEL. There is NO OTHER PUNISHMENTS or any other avenues to go through. NO other kurehits either.

Chances are that it is just a taster punishment and you should immediately do an ardas for forgiveness and veerji just fight it, ignore the girls this is your test in life...

ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਾ ਖਾਲਸਾ ।। ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕੀ ਫਤਹਿ ।।Gurfateh Parvan karo sangat ji.

Your experience is a sign and warning you must go pesh again. There is Amrit Sanchar at Guru Tegh Bahadur Gurdwara 1:30 tomorrow. Come there in bana for 1 and talk with the panj pyare. Whatever they say you must do with sat bachan. Once the panj pyare forgive you then your sab katab in parlok (after this world) doesnt come into account.

it may seem like karma has hit your rapidly but theres more punishment in the hereafter for those who cut kes they're sukhsum sareer gets placed into idols.

Flirting is a temporary desire we seek to thrill its not gna get you anyway personally and spiritually. You need to do paara (guard) how you seen women as per Gurmat older women as mothers and youngers as sister other then your wife to be.

Dont waste your time on search for the right one nor indulge in wanting to please a girl its only gna hurt you in the end trust me. Do Ardas and when your ready then ask Gursikhs at the local gurdwara to find you a Gursikh or thru family relations.

stay away from people who talk negative, uparo pyar a (only outward love) and those who want you to disrespect your saroop.

Once you recieve khande de pahul then you go from roop to saroop that is your true essence of purity and God conscious.

Live without desires and expectations. Dont be a kaami person.

Das before sikhi use to literally hate any kes on the body, tweezing my upper cheeks you name it i did it.  Now the kes dont even grow much there its just our veham and wanting to stay pretty forever well you just cant its simple as that. Now i dont even care how i look or what others say to be honest. One thing for sure is following sikhi the amount of respect sikhs and non sikhs give is amazing they want to talk with you for longer being. Otherwise kira koi bhaat pochda people come and go as they please. Follow Gurbani as atal and Hukam as sat. Pritham Rehet khande ki Pahul Vaheguru uplifts you if you follow Gurmat. Everyones gna make mistakes accept them, seek forgiveness and better yourself to being pure. Go forwards dont look back or step backwards Please.

Please have some common sense, Guruji would not 'choke' you and give you an illness because you tweezered your unibrow!

I don't think youth /young men and woman comprehend that taking Amrit means giving up worldliness.  Guruji says 'Give me your head' - "Sir dheejai".  You have to forget about the world, and renounce things like lust, flirting, frivolous socialising etc.  You have to have a higher level of thinking and living.

Guest Kaur 2 Tusi v tyar vaar tyar ho ke sees pita dio maharaj nu. Khalsa ban ja dear na karo. We always want maharaj to do kirpa on us but maharaj is waiting for us Sikha tusi Amrit shak la tera kheyal rakha.

I am just waiting for me to leave secondary school (I am in Year 9 I have 2 years left) then after that I already told my mum, no matter what I am taking amrit and that she can't stop me. The reason why I am waiting for secondary school to finish is because I won't be able to wear my kirpan etc. I have made a plan to take amrit as soon as I turn 16. I really want to take amrit NOW but my mum said no and trust me I've had A LOT of arguments with my mum about this but I am DEFINETLEY taking amrit. I really want to take amrit now but... I guess its good in a way because I can make my rehat pakki (solid and organised). In the meantime I will just keep practising and show my mum that I have the lacchan (qualities) of an amritdhari. Thanks for that though... I really appreciate it.

Maybe its a warning because nothing happens out of Guru Ji's hukam. But maybe you are right it doesn't make sense but obviously that's what Vaheguru wanted to happen...

Guest Kaur Please take Khande de Pahul as soon as you can, Das so wishes he had a chance as a kid rather then in my young adult. No words describe best feeling ever. You gotta be there to believe it. If you want your parents to take you seriously then keep rehet. Amrit is the primary Rehet ji.

There was alot young children in the ages of 5 - 15 (primary and secondary kids) today a few young girls too they wore 4 inch kirpans. Das understands your worries about high school but you show how much the kakkars mean to you then teaching staff will feel this too. Maharaj does beant kirpa we just gotta be ready to commit and let the bakhish hathereppen

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
