;When I was young, my mum did Kiran Sohila to my sibling and I each night.

She played Japji Sahib in the mornings and we went to the Gurdwara.

All of this instilled a belief and love in God that I couldn't explain logically, it was a feeling of love and awe at His greatness and beauty. Staring at the Gurus pictures, I knew they were the vessels of love and peace.

I used to picture Guru Nanak Dev Jis face in a blazing white light when I was afraid at night, Noone told me to, I just knew what to do, I knew he was my Guru and I loved Him.

A child blessed with divine knowledge can make a great Bhagat, children are capable of great love And True Love is what is required on the path.

Aww... That's true because if the parents don't teach their children ithihaas and read bani to them then how will they love the Guru? I had to learn bani myself and I learnt to read Gurmukhi myself because my parents never put in Punjabi class. I had to walk this path myself and the only person supporting me was Vaheguru. My love for Vaheguru kept me going and with maharaj's kirpa I might be taking amrit in a few years and I am still having a tough time convincing my parents that I'm ready. We can tell its Kaljug because back in the days, the parents supported their kids when taking amrit but now... the parents are trying to stop their kids from taking amrit! People nowadays care too much about what others think. I feel you... the love for Vaheguru is immense and cannot be explained.

all kids should be given one of those metal malas and encouraged to do Naam Simran every morning IMO.  Too much emphasis is put on Paath, but you do not need to be able to read Gurmukhi or understand Paath for Naam Simran.

Yes veerji I am a child myself ( I am 13) but I try to listen to as much bani as I can and I try to jaap Naam for the whole day. I try to get my brother to do it but he refuses to. My mum doesn't encourage him either so if the parents don't encourage their kids then how will they know about the big lie surrounding them? They need to realise that the world is false and their belongings won't stay with them forever. I found it necessary to put this video on the forum and hopefully we can help to make Sikhi the first priority again. As I said it only takes a few gursikhs to open the eyes of hundreds.

What does the next generation need to do?

Let us ask ourselves, how far has the present or past generations understood Gurmat.

If the roots are weak, naturally, the growth will also be shaky.

The thing is not about how we perceive sikhee(manmat), rather how much we have implemented it within ourselves, and moulded our lives according to Sikhee(Gurmat).

Changeless Truth is One: Satnam. Truth is not like fashion, which changes according to different times, places, or people. Therfore, that much only has to be done, as Dhan Dhan Guru Nanak Dev Maharaj, beautifully tells us to do:

ਹੁਕਮਿ ਰਜਾਈ ਚਲਣਾ ਨਾਨਕ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਨਾਲਿ ॥੧॥

Hukam Rajaaee Chalanaa Naanak Likhiaa Naal |

O Nanak, it is written that you shall obey the Hukam of His Command, and walk in the Way of His Will.

So, what is His Hukum?

It is, as He says in the Mool Mantra:  Gurparsad, Jap.

This is Sikhee in essence.

We must bear in mind, Guru Jee´s teachings are mainly meant for the jeev atma, the soul, in order to live a virtuos and a pure life, become mindless, and become one with Him, with His Kirpa, by doing His jap.

In Raag Maroo First Patshahee tells us also:

ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਬੋਹਿਥੁ ਆਦਿ ਜੁਗਾਦੀ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮਿ ਨਿਸਤਾਰਾ ਹੇ ॥੮॥

Sathigur Bohithh Aadh Jugaadhee Raam Naam Nisathaaraa Hae ||8||

From the very beginning of time, and throughout the ages, the True Guru has been the boat; through the Lord's Name, He carries us across. ||8||

So, if His Hukum for ferrying jeevas has not changed since Aad Jugad, what makes us think, that whether past, present, or future generations will need something else.

If we are under manmat, then we may look for variety, but if we are up to His Hukum, through Gurmat, then there is no need for anything else, for Guru Jee´s wisdom, is beyond the parametres of time and space.

Sat Sree Akal.

Yes veerji that's what I'm talking about, Sikhi is about implementing it in our lives, not just believing in it. We have to make our Sikhi strong and help others in their Sikhi.
