Dasvandh advice

Hi all,

Just wanted to run a question by sangat to gage opinions.

I'm struggling to give out to all my various responsibilities from my salary and still have enough left for dasvandh. I do volunteer but probably not 10% of my time just yet.

I'm wondering whether you think giving money from my salary to my single parent counts as davandh? Or not?

Note I'm married and moved out.

I'm not sure but I think so. Because you are still helping someone and if you have time on the weekends then why don't you start a Sikhi Class for kids for about 2-3 hours then that would still be giving a dasvandh.
