They happen usually every month or so, sometimes 2 or 3 in a month.

Most of them at the moment are dedicated by AKJ sevadaars. 

There is one Gurdwara in my area that does it monthly.

A question, how did you feel and what was going through your mind before, whilst, and after?

For that question, here is what happened:

Before:

I gave myself a tour of the Gurdwara because I couldn't find where the kakkars were. The gyani's were not much help but then this man came to me and asked me.

I felt very scared before. It was like I am gonna mess up. The panj told me everything so it's ok.

 

Whilst the amrit sanchar:

My mind was focused on everything. The panj baania, what they were saying. Shame on me for not remembering what the hukamnama was.

The panj pyare were chill. I had some funny moments whilst in the amrit sanchar too and the panj I had will agree on that. 

It was more relaxing while the amrit sanchar was happening.

 

After:
I received congratulations from all people. 

I felt happy that the wait was finally over. It feels so unrealistic but blissful at the same time.

My journey still continues because amrit is not the end.

This may sound like a silly question, but how long does it take? And what was the rehit you were given - anything specific or unique?

Um the gurdwara was taksali based so most likely a taksal maryada. I also remember them saying some parts of the damdami taksal maryada but not too sure now.

The amrit sanchar took 2-3 hours. It depends on how many people there are and what they are there for (pesh/to take amrit).
