Do any of these leftists actually do any positive community work at the grass roots level to assist with issues affecting the Sikh community or do they just stir up controversy by writing biased articles to make themselves seem significant or obtain government funding ?

SYUK have several initiatives with volunteers travelling up and down the country to promote and bring awareness of the Sikh faith. They run a helpline to assist members of the panth with any real world issues. 

What exactly do Rana, Katy Sian, Sunny Hundal  etc do at a grass roots level for the faith they claim to represent ??

I do not think Sikhs will hate any further. All that I can see Sikhs is saying a collective "I told you so!" to the mainstream community.

You do realise that no one reads the independent? It's dying a slow death and has even ceased print copies. What Tommy talks of is truth. Doesn't matter how he articulates it, he isn't lying is he? Do you want tommy to talk about things in the same way as the chattering classes? I wouldn't get worked up over what is said in newspapers or the media, people are wising up to how they form 'narratives' then get sources to back up that narrative. Another way they do this is when they mention the generic terms 'critics say xyz' or 'sources say xyz', to back up unfounded positions. All quite boring really

25000 ISIS radicals are on the uk watch list of the secret services, god knows how many more sympathisers.These people believe in violence and slavery for non-believers, like the treatment of  yazidis.Sikh groups can not highlight these dangers as it may upset the liberal elite.Who did a great job of news black out on the grooming gangs of Rochdale, Oxford, Newcastle etc

Problem is tyranny is coming people claim to be the anti fascists.

For starters you naturally assert or insinuate that Tommy Robinson is a bigot without actually hearing what he has to say.

In this free democratic country we should listen to all points of view.

The fact that you do not like this, particularly from your political end of the spectrum is very similar to the Communist era where people are dismissed without hearing what they have to say because it does not suit your narrative.

The problem with universities these days is that have become no platforms for freedom of speech (particularly since they are very much on the left)
