Your input above is much appreciated just like Bhagauti means sword, shakti, goddess as per Dasam Granth whereas in Sukhmani Sahib the term is used for devotee of Bhagwaan ie Bhagat.

One must go with the definition which register's in your heart.

In order to gain Aatmic gian you need to do Simran Bhagati.
