So last night I had a really "bad" dream. I kept having flashes of the Golden Temple and other objects that I wasnt really familiar with. But in the background there was a voice that seemed so angry and he was speaking to me in pure punjabi. Im not fluent in punjabi so I didnt understand what he was saying but I remember he was shouting in a raised tone and I was really scared. At the end of the dream was my mum laying in front of me on the floor in my bedroom with her eyes wide open. I thought dreaming of the Golden Temple is some kind of good sign but the ending of my dream im confused with????

You had the dream of Harmandir Sahib normally, put your mom shouting to wake you up in real life.

Dreaming of Sri Harmandir Sahib ji is a good sign.

The angry voice and your mother in the dream could be due to maybe some stress you have in your life. Don’t worry about what we see in dreams, it could be interpreted in many ways. But as long as you get the main messsge from it that will help/benefit to your life is what matters.

Are you going through a stressful time or been having arguments with anybody?

It could be a hint to you to start doing paath and trust in Waheguru about your worries and doubts to sort it out.

Sometimes dreams show you future events. The reason for this can be to guide you or to stop you from becoming too emotionally confused when certain events take place in reality and shock you. They tend to make the shock bearable and the happening bearable too.

I had this dream when the builders were tearing down a part of the under wall to create an extension of the house. I saw a crack appear at the right side of the upper room. Now the next day, I was prepared as I knew things would not go right. I had woken up hearing the builders arguments too and shouting.

The next day, I heard the exact words as I had in my dream. These words were in real life. I rushed upstairs and I saw the crack too. I was more baffled about having dreamt about it rather than the damage to the wall.

Therefore, we should not worry too much about these dreams. They can have meanings and can help you accept certain happenings.

The same happened to a certain black car we had bought. I had a dream about it being scrapped. Therefore when it got a dent on one end, I told my husband to not bother about putting it right and repairing it. After a month, we had an accident in which the car got damaged and got scraped.

Just keep doing your simran and focus on God. These other events are just storms passing by. He saves us in various ways and keeps us joined to his name. Some dreams can be confusing. However it is better to dream about it first, and then see it in real life.

Oh man since when did we start reading into dreams? Whatever next... Astrology? Oh wait...

Dreams have a lot of meanings especially in Sikhi. Some folk here had a dream about Guru Gobind Singh Ji giving everyone treasure apart from him and instead he got a gutka sahib.

Has a lot of meanings. No one regularly dreams about that stuff.

Do they?

You'd have to be of a very high avastha/ have a damn lot of kamai to have Maharaj come give you darshan in your sleep. There's a big difference between that and some Joeblogs dreaming about darbar sahib with someone shouting and then conjuring up some deep spiritual meaning

Not necessarily, if you are having life troubles even if you are a mona and don't follow Sikhi, it can still happen.

Why, the Guru sits in Darbar Sahib. In fact, He sits in your heart, but people forget.

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
