Ahh,  so a political definition..

Agreed completely. If the definition of a Sikh is what the SGPC claims it is, then none of the Sikhs who existed before Dashmesh Pitaa's time were Sikhs. Why do Sikhs consult these committees and man-made institutions before they consult Maharaj? He should be the first one we look to for answers. Maharaj himself tells us exactly what a Sikh is:

gur siqgur kw jo isKu AKwey su Blky auiT hir nwmu iDAwvY ]
gur satgur kaa jo sikh akhaa-ay so bhalkay uth har naam Dhi-aavai.
One who calls himself a Sikh of the Guru, the True Guru, shall rise in the early morning hours and meditate on the Lord's Name.

audmu kry Blky prBwqI iesnwnu kry AMimRq sir nwvY ]
udam karay bhalkay parbhaatee isnaan karay amrit sar naavai.
Upon arising early in the morning, he is to bathe, and cleanse himself in the pool of nectar.

aupdyis gurU hir hir jpu jwpY siB iklivK pwp doK lih jwvY ]
updays guroo har har jap jaapai sabh kilvikh paap dokh leh jaavai.
Following the Instructions of the Guru, he is to chant the Name of the Lord, Har, Har. All sins, misdeeds and negativity shall be erased.

iPir cVY idvsu gurbwxI gwvY bhidAw auTidAw hir nwmu iDAwvY ]
fir charhai divas gurbaanee gaavai bahdi-aa uth-di-aa har naam Dhi-aavai.
Then, at the rising of the sun, he is to sing Gurbani; whether sitting down or standing up, he is to meditate on the Lord's Name.

jo swis igrwis iDAwey myrw hir hir

so gurisKu gurU min BwvY ]
jo saas giraas Dhi-aa-ay mayraa har har so gursikh guroo man bhaavai.
One who meditates on my Lord, Har, Har, with every breath and every morsel of food - that GurSikh becomes pleasing to the Guru's Mind.

ijs no dieAwlu hovY myrw suAwmI iqsu gurisK gurU aupdysu suxwvY ]
jis no da-i-aal hovai mayraa su-aamee tis gursikh guroo updays sunaavai.
That person, unto whom my Lord and Master is kind and compassionate - upon that GurSikh, the Guru's Teachings are bestowed.

jan naanak Dhoorh mangai tis gursikh kee jo aap japai avrah naam japaavai. ||2||
Servant Nanak begs for the dust of the feet of that GurSikh, who himself chants the Naam, and inspires others to chant it. ||2||

How can he take the form of Guru ji and identify as Sikh when he's married a muslim? If they didn't have an Anand Karaj and have children then what faith will they practice? This conflict can create an identity crisis and stray behavior.

Reading the comments on that video, shocked at how many muslims r ok with it. Did they have an anand karaj?

Be wary of fake accounts. Some 'Sikhs' or 'Hindus' could have created them just to fool the public and provoke a reaction from muslims. When we see how they murder innocent people, especially 'Sikhs', it is idiotic.

Someone send this to all those interfaith marriage supporters. Show them how Muslims react.

Nothing unsual about this.If you read all the comments you will find some muslims are okay with it.I wonder if they have shown same courtesy to a Hindu guy marrying Muslim girl lolz
As you are aware that poor people usually have more attachment with religion so if one of their family member marry outside they make more noise especially if that member is female.I remeber a similar case in 2010. Sikh Muslim couple from Punjab faced the same backlash from their family.Punjab and Haryana high court provided that couple police protection.

Here is another example from Mumbai.A Muslim girl marries her sikh boyfriend. No problem from families because both belonged to educated and rich families.

Another Sikh Muslim marriage.Sikh female marrying muslim male.Though male is also Indian.Harris Khan

again no problem from families. Give it some time as people get more and more exposure and education.Such marriages will be considered normal. At the end of the day we homo sapiens share the same ancestors/origins.

p.s i watched this video in February this year.this video was widely shared on hindu pages lol patriarchal BS.I was wondering when  Big Terra Ji will open a thread on this. @Big Terra bro ,why it took you so long ?? :p

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
