What was the need for porn? Why is it even on the internet? And because of some sites not asking for proof such as bank details or ID etc a lot of the younger generation are getting addicted to it! I read as young as 11!!!!!! It also wrecks our rehat and sikhi!!!!!

Porn exists for business purposes alone, they may not get your money, but they'll get ads, support from governments, donations, as well as events for their business.

People watch porn because people are marrying later.

If Sikhs were to read all the charitars from Sri Charitropakhiyan Sahib Ji there would be no need for you to view porn. This is why Dasam Pita dedicated 7years of their life to creating all the different Triya Charitar stories

err firstly your wording makes it seem you are suggesting GuruPita ji wrote porn which would negate need for other stuff... I don't think you meant it that way but just in case someone else gets the wrong end of the stick :

Guru Pita ji gave us the same advice he received from his father: to never even in a dream go to the bed of another ...i.e. the thought is as bad as the action ....in what universe does a Father telling us this, allow the kirdaar of his children to fall so low as to consume Porn or low thoughts about paraiyian/paraiae ? Sikhs accept kaam as part of their makeup but work on controlling it along with the other four thieves, stay within gursikh marriage and build a relationship with santokh and sat

Triya .. what does it mean ? it seems its corrupt of "Stri" which means woman. "Tria charitar" would then mean a "woman's character".

Not surprised this cultural things crept into religion , as after all , PUNJABIS are one of the MOST sexist, misogynist and by extension homophobic culture of india. And since most sikhs are punjabis, this has crept into religion as well. Although at community level, not scripturally.

I can bet , the words of triya charitar apply to men as much as they apply to women.

Also my question "What if marriage is not possible for a person?" . How does then "don't go to others bed even in dream" apply ?

again with the jumping to conclusions ...in sikhi there is only ONE Pursh AKAL PURAKH the rest are Naari jaat whether human male or female. if you read the chiritars as detailed BOTH human forms are shown to be lacking in morals or sense of right in the face of kaam.

err Bro you need to check your anger at the door ... before you say  something you don't mean we Know the author was Guru Pitaji and he was retelling tales of high positioned people who were given blessings by Akal Purakh to rule and lead and yet were brought so low by their MOH, Ahankar, Lobh and Kaam that they were prepared to kill innocents(The king in the top level story) also the inner stories retold by the minister illustrate the depravity extends to all strata in kalyug.

it applies prior to marriage and after ...you can't be picking and choosing  which of Guru Pita ji's words apply and when , hukham is for always

Interesting.

I am aware of the concept of eko purakh, sagal naar. But I am sure its a mere metaphor to help us understand . In reality, god and soul doesn't have gender. There are many places in gurbani where relationship of jeev and waheguru is referred to in terms of husband-wife relationship but this is just to help us understand.

I am not saying charitropakhyan is not written by guru sahib. Besides, I have not read charitropakhyan or triya charitar, so am not rightful to say anything about it, althoug i strongly believe its more about lessons.

But actually not everyone have the privilege to marry .

Porn exists because an overwhelming, near totality of humanity, particularly males, that have access to such content will use it, creating a motive to profit off of it. Humans have kaam, and a sexual drive that can be satisfied by pornography.

It's quite simple, really.

That's why Dasam Pita spent years writing the stories in Charitropakhiyan to educate the Khalsa Panth

actually porn is part of the zionist agenda to undermine/subvert other moralistic faiths, family structures and societal values of non-zion countries so they can be subdued and brought under the rule of the one world regime.

If that's true and they want to convert everyone into Judaism? Why not other methods? Doesn't Judaism say adultery is a sin?

    • Heretic or a Turk. Both are repulsive. The heretic is an internal threat where as the Turk is external. Whether or not he's insulted the Gurus (as of yet), is not the issue. It's the fact that he's Turk-Beeraj.
    • I do not believe in an absolute morality, dharam is not the same for each and every individual. This is not to say that dharam does not exist, only that it doesn't exist in a monolithic form.  This concept is reflected very well in the life of the Mahapurakh Sant Baba Thakur Singh, 14th jathedar of Damdami Taksaal. Babaji was a strict vegetarian like all members of Taksaal, so for him eating meat was a great sin. However when he visited the chaunis (encampments) of Nihang Singhs around Chowk Mehta he would often bring offerings of goats to be jhatkaa'd by the nihangs and later consumed. Because eating meat was not a great paap for them as it was for babaji, rather it was their tradition and he respected that the role they were given by the Almighty was different from his own.  Satguru's Hukam affects each person differently.  Eastern dharams tend not to impose moral codes on the whole of humankind, as though such codes apply to everybody. Yes there are certain basic guiding principles of human morality - don't murder, don't rape, but most sane people don't really need to be told not to do these things by a religion because they feel an inherent revulsion towards them. However beyond this things can get quite flexible. Some people are meant to be householders and provide for a family, whilst others are meant to be celibates and devote their lives and all their energy to Akaal Purakh and Seva of the Panth. If God creates someone with the intention that they will become a warrior, battle becomes dharam for this person, a righteous deed. If however God creates a man and by his hukam determines that this man is to be peaceful saint, battle is adharam for him, not righteous. This is why different sampardas/jathebandiaan exist in Sikhi. Guru Ji is not/was not anti-samparda or anti-jathebandi, if they were, they wouldn't have created or blessed so many of them themselves. I don't know if what I'm saying is right, but this is the conclusion I have arrived at from my study of Sikhi. Others will have arrived at different conclusions, and good thing too -  Sikhi is a garden full of many diverse flowers.  I do not believe Guru Ji aspired to make all Sikhs, or all people,  identical in their religious outlook and practice.
    • So you think that Sikhs and Muslims need to remain bitter enemies for as long as this world exists?   And because of 84 do we also need to become eternal enemies of the Hindus forever and ever?   Yesterday Hindus were our friends but they ended up knifing us in the back. And Yesterday's enemies can become strategic allies of today. Try to see the bigger picture.
