WoW

missionaries are more respected

Majority of taksalis cannot sit and have a convo without swearing so personally i feel taksal has no hope.

... but then arent you generalising them?

But If i had to pick jathas id pick akj

------

I can't argue with someone who spews so much of hatred against other jathbandi and then at same time person thinks "why our kaum is not progressing" 🤦‍♂️

You remind me of what what's happening with neo-nazi groups doing amureca with such hatred.

I do not watch tv etc. I know most taksalis do though.

You're just as bad as the people you claim to be against. Missionaries are doing their own form of killing, the mental kind. Which is far worse.

inb4 I'm called a taksali, hater etc etc. Like most of your missionary mates you run when your views are challenged. I've been reading yours and Chatanga's posts avidly and you're practically a broken record. Same thing again and again and you ignore any questions he asked and just repeat the same thing. Hilarious. You called our history a lie, So what hope do you have? History is what recorded Amrit Sanchar, 5 baniya, Rehit. Discard it all away then.

What the left is doing to each other is what we're doing to Sikhi. Tearing it apart bit by bit with new things to either get offended over or simply bicker over. Uneducated so called missionaries and a completely lax taksal, not to mention no one doing proper arths of Gurbani. Really saddening.

Along with the blessing of nefarious machinery who does not want sikhs progressing their own community since the rise of maharaja Ranjit singh.

You can't have it both ways - you want the panth to flourish and when someone tries to do that everyone attacks him? Would you rather he stopped pachar and the thousands stopped coming onto the path of Sikhi?

I would hardly call it having it both ways. People here want the panth to flourish--the Sikh Panth to flourish. Back when Sant Dhadrianwale was preaching Sikhism, many (most?) people supported him. Now that he's preaching his own version of missionary matt, people are decreasing or reversing their support.

People do like the fact that he had made thousands or hundreds of thousands of people Amritdhari. But now, he's attacking the very foundations on which Khande-bate da Amrit is based. Now he says he only supports Guru Granth Sahib ji. So, please tell us, where in Guru Granth Sahib does it say to take Khanda Amrit, or even how it's supposed to be prepared?

So if you think people coming and taking amrit is a good thing (like you implied), then you would have to be wary of supporting Sant Dhadrianwale in his current incarnation.

How about the UK-based arm of him, 'Nirvair Khalsa Jatha', is there anything wrong with them or are we all blinded by them as well?

Well, I find it quite interesting that you have people (including Sant Dhadrianwale's retinue and possibly including NKJ) who support Dhadrianwale for years. Presumably they support the stuff that Sant Dhadrianwale preached at that time, like Naam Simran. Now, suddenly, he turns around and basically says Naam Simran is manmat. And his followers don't abandon him, they cling even tighter to him.

So they can't claim to be supporters of a philosophy (Gurmat). Rather, they were and are supporters of a man. When the man flips, they flip too:

ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਛਡਿ ਕੈ ਮਨਮੁਖ ਹੋਇ ਬੰਦੇ ਦਾ ਬੰਦਾ।

Manmukh, the mind-orientated, leaving away the true Guru Lord becomes slave of man.

Becoming errand boy of man he goes daily to salute him.

All the twenty four hours (eight pahars) with folded hands he stands before his master.

Sleep, hunger and pleasure he does not have and remains so scared as if he has been sacrificed.

Throughout rains, cold, sunlight, shade, he undergoes myriad sufferings.

In the battlefield (of life) this same person, considering sparks of iron as fireworks gets mortally wounded.

Without the (shelter of) perfect Guru, he wanders through the species.

Bhai Gurdas Varaan 15:4

Wasn’t he was involved in some homsexual act - kissing controversy in UK? He always join him when he visit states. Whole clan is very good in theatrics. There is also another mini-dhunda literally under age 10 when he started.

I haven't seen their videos in ages, it's the background tune that's irritating, can't figure out what they are saying. Don't know what's going on nowadays, so can't say anything on it.

High echo sound setting. Typical Indian marriage party singer group style. All of their sound/videos are consistent as they bring their own musical instrument, high end recording devices. Commercialism rather than any spirituality. Kaachi bani.

Hanji this is what I felt. But it's the extras that put me off listening to them more often.  Had a quick look at their fb page, and no offence to anybody that does good parchar of Sikhi, but the themes for the parchars aren't bringing me in. Like guilt trips to the sangat. Once in a while is ok, but it's all the time now. There's doesn't seem to be any positive words for anybody. 🙁

Missionary Dhadrianwale trying to destroy Sikhi first in India + now in the States

"Ehna Di Problem Ki Hai"? | Sant Ranjit Singh Dhadrian Wale explains !! San Jose, CA | 2017
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_N5XrTz3d-8

This is basically what he said (a transcription of Dhadrianwale's video above). I'll reply later on below in another post:

Quote

Now the problem is, now, I don't sing the praises of their Babas, there's no other problem.
They want to have their Babas praised. Accept the thinking that we accept.

I say man creates his fate (lekh), they say God does. I say God does, man does too.
I say Dharam Raj is inside, they say he's up there.
I say heaven and hell are here, they say up there.
I say a man who becomes bad is a bhoot (ghost), and becoming good becomes an angel (devta).
They say there are men, bhoots, and devtas.
You're putting everything up there, and righteousness (dharam) has become extinct from our lives.
Everything's inside, Gurbani talks of everything inside.
Sheikh Farid talks of the present, today. Aaj milava Sheikh Farid.
Talk about today, how you'll go today to heaven (swarag).
This is a Brahminist thinking that people are crying in hell. Who heard the crying?
The body is burned here (in this world).
There are examples of these matters in Gurbani, but Guru Sahib does not accept these things.
Sacha Patshah explains logically. We accept logic, they accept magic.

When their preachers come here, do I or my supporters say anything? Let me say what I want, you say what you want.  Take time from the committee 4-5 days, say what you want.

Now this generation understands logic. Times have changed, we have to understand Gurbani according to the times. The ways of explaining in the old deras were OK for that time. Teachers in India used to hit students, not now. This is not the age of slaps and beating with sticks. Tell them that.

Otherwise say that our Brahmgianis thought whatever they thought, no one can think these days.
God gave us the right to think, you can't take it away. Give the freedom of speech to everybody. They want to ask questions of me, don't allow me to ask questions.

The people from yesterday don't accept that Sant Bhindrawale are shaheed.

Sorry if I said something wrong. Don't promote pulling turbans off.

There's a person from California named Gurpreet. He's always where there's a dispute.  He stated that everybody in the Sangat was against Dhadrianwale actually, it was only about 15 people.
Don't make false statements.

To clarify that is his speech, not mine.

During my visits to the Harimandir Sahib in late 1990s when I was studying at Guru Nanak Dev University in Amritsar, I often came across a very familiar scene – Inside the sanctum sanctorum, sitting opposite to the ‘kirtaniyes’, a man in his 30s, in a sense of extreme gush, mesmerized and actuated by the euphoria of the keertan, physically detached from the World around him, his eyes closed with tears flowing down his cheeks and drenching his black flowing beard.

Something conspicuously different from what others were doing- hurling their way towards the sanctum sanctorum, making their own space to bow down and offer their respects, very cautious of the positioning of the cameras, telecasting live images around the world.

Wow! I used to say every time I saw him. I thought, this is what one needs in order to attain a humane connection with that place and the environment. But I also realized that this was something inveterate, which would only come with time, filled with love for the Guru and Gurbani…

hau reh na ska bin dekhe preetma mai neer vahe vahe chale jeeo.
I cannot survive without seeing my Beloved. My eyes are welling up with tears.
      (M4; Pg 94; SGGS)

But I was also a bit puzzled. Why this melancholy? It is said, ‘’how but through a broken heart can Lord enter’’. Was it the environment, the shabad or something else? It was all-in-one I guess. Sitting with crossed legs, closed eyes, listening to the ‘dhur ki baani’ written by our Gurus – this reaction is inevitable if we really concentrate on the shabad, its meaning and environment.

Also, is melancholy a reflection of the Sikhs’ perception of ‘man neevan’ which they utter daily in their prayer, ‘man neevan; mat uchee’? (humble mind and exalted wisdom). It’s such a unique combination of the ‘man’ (mind) being humble but at the same time the spirits being high.
    • You're not alone in wondering why people do this. As far as my observations, people who name thier daughters maya don't have a clue what maya is or the concept of maya. These people tend to be Sikh in name only. They do it purely to be modern while keeping an 'indian flavour' to thier childs name.

VJKK VJKF This question has been eating at me for quite a long time now. I thought that maya what something that distracts us from Vaheguru so why do people call their daughters maya? Do you think it comes from Bollywood? Just a thought. VJKK VJKF
