LOL . don't underestimate the gujus though. In india today any guju is seen as a potential future business tycoon lol. 

Guju = business brains . Although this is not true . And also sindhis , parsis and jains are much more successful than guju hindus. 

Sindhis are a persecuted fleeing minority. The exodus of 1947 def might have played a bigger role in them being so successful today. Exactly same can be said of parsis . Same for jews . Ditto for canadian sikhs  , most of whom are 84 refugees. 

Why else you think UK and US sikhs tend to be so snobbish while canadian sikhs are in parliament and cabinet.

Its my theory after observing several persecuted groups that after getting a decent amount of chhitar (no offense ) , you tend to get disciplined and more serious . Just like kids who get chhitar probably end up doing well than ones who're spoiled.

also true of sikhs who lived through the bad old days of rampant racism in Uk they have a great self-identity and are more likely to stick to sikhi ...the ease-loving ones now are too pampered as Guru ji says 'dukh daru sukh rog paya, ja sukh tam no hoe'

pain/striving for naam is the medicine, comfort/worldly pleasures the disease, where there's true happiness (sikhi) there is no disease

also true of sikhs who lived in the mughal era and british ones . We just don't have sikhs like those nowadays . We're a mere shadow of the sikhs during ghallu gharas . 

Just think about this : Sikhs have been living in US for more than 100 years, and yet most americans know zilch about sikhs. Shows how docile we're .

The result is in front of you . Gunshots to our people . Now we're beginning to wake up with the "we are sikhs" campaign , but i think even that's not enough . 

Also compare the sikhs who have an egalitarian religion with those who have been barbarians : the christians and the muslims.

Shortly after muhammad's death , muslim forces spread in 4 directions to spread their faith . A not-so-great faith spread in 4 corners of world , by tip of sword , holding several empires and subjugating so many kings under its reins . You have to give it to the mussle for their religious sincerity . 

Christians spread in 4 directions and spreading their faith by tricks, deception, sword, crusades , inquisitions . 

Sikhs have an egalitarian faith that doesn't believe in violence and we couldn't even preach it to the masses . 

In short  : "Those who had baubles spread it in 4 directions claiming it to be diamonds, and we have diamonds and don't wanna share it with world "
