Majoritarianism

Since Bal thackery was from the majority community and had links to RSS, VHP and other hindtva outfits he was untouchable. Had Sant bhindranwale been a hindu sant than a Sikh no action would have been taken against him guaranteed thus proving there is no true democracy in India its a brahminwad hindu fascist state. In a real democracy everyone is equal before the law otherwise there's no rule of law and no democratic legitimacy for the state to rule over its citizens.

It's understandable that non-Sikhs have swallowed the distortions and the slander. It fits comfortably with whatever narrative the government and the ruling class wish to impose on the population in order to encourage a supposedly unified society. But when our own people choose to whole-heartedly embrace the lies and slander, it certainly opened my eyes as to how the public is so easily manipulated by those in authority. It makes you wonder who else in history has been maligned in a similar way. The victors write history, etc.

dead men don't tell lies - those who write history of struggles and sacrifice do it through their blood. Those are the victors

Those who go on to tell stories just tell lies to serve themselves.

The BBC's Mark Tully is another one to add to that list. In fact, he's wheeled out by the BBC Asian Network on the anniversary of Operation Bluestar to spout his so-called professional assessment of what occurred back then. It's almost as if the BBC want to continue conditioning each successive generation of listeners and viewers to swallow the "official" account of the events of that time, lest people begin to do some critical thinking and stumble upon the facts by mistake.
