What do they mean by 'pointy' turban? Is that the style Guru Gobind Singh Ji wore?

The Shahi Dastar came from Afghanistan, not the British.

The guy claimed that pointy Dastars came from Britain which just isn't true, as a whole Goras haven't worn turbans for thousands of years. The Shahis; however, came from Afghanistan. (Sikhs wore it to show they were the rulers of Afghanistan, when they liberated Kabul).

The fascists are out in force..  as is clearly demonstrated by this thread when you become reductive in your thoughts the only way to go is to become even more reductive.. Become even more obsessed with nonsensical arguments.. We should give sewadaars protractors to determine whether a dastaar is acceptable... Whilst we are at it lets check whether the shade of the dastaar is acceptable.. 

In the hands of the bigots who even think this is a issue the message of Guru Nanak Dev Ji will be lost forever

A dastar is a dastar, whichever style ! 

He should be more concerned about the fact that most of our boys thesedays , even the kesdhari ones are too lazy to tie a parna nowadays when going nearby . Rather they just pull up a bandana like cap. 

Thats a more threat thats spreading viral ,as I see more and more kesdhari youth with caps or bandanas (they look like skull caps worn by muslims !) than a nok wali dastar. Encourage them to wear a 2 meter parna that takes 2 minutes to tie rather than pulling up a "nylon bandana" that makes them look like muslims.

This might be a deliberate well planned agenda of anti sikh forces to try to distract us from actual issues. 

Or maybe ppl like these are just too scared or inept to solve actual issues the kaum faces. So they focus on trivial things
