True, I think Sikhs are doing a disservice themselves by not countering Indian propaganda material online.

When its ok for hindu's to say they want or refer to india as hindustan why cant Sikhs in india call punjab Khalistan or fight for it?

For learned people the Indian nationalist regime game is very clear to smear the Sikh nationalist movement by creating fake news to paint Khalistani's as violent thugs, uneducated, uncivilised, terrorists, extremists and fantasists who will never achieve their dream of nationhood.

They don't want Sikhs within India and aboard to believe you can be a Khalistani, be civilized and peaceful and fight and campaign for Khalistan in democratic and lawful means.

The Subcontinent was more civilized when each area was ruled by small kings and queens then it is in the post-1947 era. In the times of the Sikh Empire, we had the highest educational standard in the entire world, (even Europe could not compete). The rest of the subcontinent was also more advanced mentally and physically when there were small states and no unified India because of healthy competition.

The problem with the indian subcontinent is that it wasn't ready for the artificial nationhood's of India and pakistan as both contain huge ethnic and religious minorities that have many differences in terms of unique language and ethnic traditions and culture. The establishment powers in islamabad and new delhi had to military force the minority communities to accept their rule and new national identity at the point of the gun.

And yes Sikh empire was the most advanced militarily and educated regional power and possibly in all of asia which was able to rival the various nations of Europe who were weakening each other by continual warfare of dominance.
