Sikhism is no more the fifth-largest religion

Couple of months ago, Wikipedia page for Sikhism was edited. Instead of showing Sikhism as the fifth-largest global religion now it shows it as the ninth-largest religion. The fifth place has been taken by some "Folk religion". Sixth is Taoism, Seventh is some "Shinto" and Eighth "Falun Gong". Yeah, that's good! The bad part is that Chinese "religions" founded in 1990s have more followers!

I wouldn't go as far to suggest those religions aren't genuine, or they lack some sort of legitimacy. The main reason for their high number of followers is possibly due to their generally higher population.

There's a major problem with religions listed as 5-8, and that is it's a bunch of religions joined together, also you can combine those religious practices with any religion, not just that one, a good example is Shintoism, Folk religion, and Taoism which all allow their followers to mix and match with other religions, (the main one being Buddhism), also if we included the I don't know how many Vanjaria Sikhs our numbers would still be 5th place. If we were playing the same demographic numbers these religions were playing, then we could include that Hindu or that Christian that went to the Gurdwara once. Even if we were to do that our numbers at best would be 4th place, but we would most likely stay in 5th place.

Judaism has 17 million followers compared to our 28 mill, and look how they're running tings internationally! Oy vey, maybe they are the chosen people. ?

Judaism has one thing that gives them power, and that is that Christians are their ghulams,(Jerusalem is under their control), if you had 2 billion slaves and even if you were one person, you could rule a huge population. Heck their Pakhandi Baba named Jesus Ghadar Christ was a Jew who believed in Jewish ideology. The Varican City also has a lot of power for the same reason. Saudi Arabia also has lots of power for the same reason of owning a religious capital for outsiders. Heck, if we had the same benefits they have with an international religious capital which many people of other countries respect, Punjabis would be seen like Devtas and we would be seen as the supreme people; however, no such scenario exists. Let me just say if we had a city in Punjab with importance for outsiders, (like non-Punjabi/Subcontinental), such as Mecca, Vatican, Ganges, or Jeuralesum, then all of our demands would be met by tomorrow no questions asked, (heck we could ask for people to some otherwise irrational stuff and they'd still do it).

You know why you struggle with focusing on spirituality, curbing Kaam, etc? Because of nonsense like that in bold. You heap such incredible bhaar on yourself without having the kamaai to shoulder such words and opinions. You don't have to agree or like other faiths and their figureheads - i certainly don't when it comes to a few of them - but where do you get the cojones to speak of such figures in that way?

+1 Every Mahapurukh has said the same thing, the greatest is Guru Sahib! Remember all these Pakhandis went to Harnaam Singh and touched his feet, not the other way around. This right here shows how even they ackwolegded that Sikhi is the only true religion. The greatness of being Sikh is what keeps me going, if I was a follower of any of these Pakhandis I don't know where I'd be going. Even Randhir Singh said in his book when he saw all those Jamdoots how they fear the power of Guru Sahib and anyone who was Sikh. Bhai Gurdas also said such "nonsense", as you claim that Sikhs were the best of the best, higher than Devtas and Devti. I'm a lowly Sikh, (probably one of the worst there is), and there's no way that I'm going to accept being lower spiritually to some deluded person like Muhammad or Jesus or even Moses, just on a non-Sikh level, the Dharmic faiths have their problems; however, their leaders actually tried to teach simran, (fake simran, but still a start), while in Christianity and Islam Simran is a ban.

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
