Breakfast for Diversity at Sikh temple in Dubai

Official Guinness World Record Attempt to feature over 150 nationalities

Dubai: The Gurudwara Guru Nanak Darbar Sikh Temple in Dubai will host the event ‘Breakfast for Diversity’ at its premises in Jebel Ali Gardens on Thursday. The occasion aims to gather over 150 nationalities to spend time together over breakfast as part of the Gurudwara’s Year of Giving initiative.

The Gurudwara hopes to exemplify charity and religious tolerance through the event. It will also be an official Guinness World Record attempt of the ‘Most Nationalities Having a Continental Breakfast.’ All participants have been requested to wear their national dress as a representation of harmony in a multiplicity of nationalities, a press release said.

Sikhs are one of the the last groups who should be exemplifying charity and religious tolerance, lol, especially in a place like Dubai.

Because we're a pretty chilled group. We don't impose our ways on anybody, do we? As a minority in a place like Dubai, the suggestion that we're conducting a function that promotes tolerance and charity carries the implicit suggestion that we normally are strangers to such values.

guess it could be taken that way but, unfortunately by law they are not allowed to do parchaar of their faith explicitly in Arab/islamic countries

People representing almost half of the world ate together in Dubai on Thursday morning and achieved a Guinness World Record for most number of nationalities having a continental breakfast.
