Prophecy about the Gurus

The best source I found was this:

apparently this is part of Sant Isher Singh Suleiman Katha; which I found here:

I'm going to be straightforward I have no interpretation of what it means, but will listen to the Katha to find where it mentions that.

That's the Chelleh's problems lol. They could very well easily be there to guide and help out lost souls, God himself worked in a field for Bhagat Dhanna Ji. You'll notice all these stupid sayings start after the Sant or Mahapurkh departs this world.

That's the thing though, no Brahmgyani ever gives out any form of gyan like that. Think back to all the amount of spiritually lifted people we've seen, all of them are still alive in our memory. Guru Nanak was also a warrior, but Guru Harkrishan Ji wasn't. God has countless forms bro. Guru Nanak Dev Ji is just seen (even by the Guru Sahibs later on) as being the most primal even though they were one with him.

I don't think Reborn is the proper term, more likely manifested is better. When someones consciousness merges with God they do become Guru Nanak as well, as Guru Nanak is God. They become one with everything, if we look at it that way then perhaps the "prophecy" (iv heard it but I never really had a chance to check it out so if OP would post it, it would be amazing) is simply stating that, that these souls will become one with God (thus being one with Guru Nanak himself as well) thus Guru Nanak is still here helping the lost souls of the world out.

Even the Bhagti of all the Sants in Sikhism, All of them don't go unnoticed. The amount of miracles and good deeds they did and the amount of people they touched is immense.

Interesting, I've come across people saying some Mahapurshs/Sants as God. I always thought why do they say that, as nobody can be God. Their God like qualities certainly would have touched many people's lives, but would they be saying it's Guruji's light in them again? Or just have qualities that reflect them?

I think it comes from Sukhmani Sahib, the Brahmgyani ashtpadi. I'll have to listen to the katha of Sukhmani Sahib to learn what exactly is meant. From my own understanding i believe Guru Sahib gives us markers on how to recognise an individual who exhibits those qualities associated with God as a precursor to merging with Him. Only if a person possesses such indicators can we assume he or she is worthy of such a label. Unless it literally means that person is the Creator, in which case I'm talking nonsense, lol.

I can't find the katha I saw a while a ago, about Brahmgyiani signs, I can't remember the katha vachak, but found this instead:

Sukhmani Sahib ji tells us about Brahmgyiani:

asatpadee.

Ashtapadee:

barahm gi-aanee sadaa nirlayp.

The God-conscious being is always unattached,

jaisay jal meh kamal alayp.

as the lotus in the water remains detached.

barahm gi-aanee sadaa nirdokh.

The God-conscious being is always unstained,

jaisay soor sarab ka-o sokh.

like the sun, which gives its comfort and warmth to all.

Nectar rains down from the glance of the God-conscious being.

barahm gi-aanee banDhan tay muktaa.

The God-conscious being is free from entanglements.

barahm gi-aanee kee nirmal jugtaa.

The lifestyle of the God-conscious being is spotlessly pure.

barahm gi-aanee kaa bhojan gi-aan.

Spiritual wisdom is the food of the God-conscious being.

naanak barahm gi-aanee kaa barahm Dhi-aan. ||3||

O Nanak, the God-conscious being is absorbed in God’s meditation. ||3||

The God-conscious being acts in the common good.

barahm gi-aanee sufal falaa.

The God-conscious being blossoms in fruitfulness.

barahm gi-aanee sang sagal uDhaar.

In the Company of the God-conscious being, all are saved.

I see where you're coming from. I also appreciate the distinctions you're making. I'd rather discuss these issues with someone such as yourself and arrive at a consensus, than with some of the unhinged chelleh, lol.

Yeahhh...I always think that Jathas are a double edged sword in that regard, you have such zealots who ignore what the founder of their Jatha taught and focus just on them.

In this instance how are we defining manifestation?

Manifest is more like the Poran Sants become one with the lord when they reach enlightenment. Unlike Guru Nanak Dev Ji who was born immaculate, the Sants become the followers of Nanak and also become immaculate, Rather than a Sargun Saroop of God they are nothing more than guides with all the wisdom of Guru Nanak Dev Ji since God=Guru Nanak Dev Ji. If that makes any sense. Again I don't want anyone to think that I'm talking rudely to about Sants/Mahapurkhs, they are far above me in every single respect. The difference between them and myself is too immense to even put into words and I will write here to forgive me for anything wrong I've said regarding them.

it's a bit of both Penji. I'm not an expert on this as my knowledge is far too limited. God is unborn however he is also inside everything too, Sants wash away the sins and become one with that light within God. God can be just about anything he wants, he can be the most beautiful person in the world but also the most fierce.

There's an interesting Sakhi about a muslim Pir (or Hindu Saadhu, I can't be sure completely on this) he was blessed with Spiritual Powers, but he was exploiting them. Using them to control people, So a Poran Sant (I think it was Sant Baba Isher Singh Ji or another Mahapurkh, again the name eludes me so I'll use the word Sant Ji from now on) went to visit him. Sant Ji asked him to stop doing these evil deeds as it wasn't good for him or anyone else, Sant Ji's face was covered with a cloak at the time. The Pir became really arrogant and egotistical, he started taunting Sant Ji that Sant Ji was afraid to show his face as he would curse him. Sant Ji still asked him to stop and ignored the taunts but the Pir wouldn't stop. So Sant Ji lowered his hood, his face (or what he saw) was so surprising the Pir fainted there and then.

Never say Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji was born.  Read what Gurbani says on those who say the Guru was born.
