As sad as this is that the father didn't teach Sikhi to their kids; it's their own personal life and we really shouldn't be involved in their affairs as long as it wasn't an interfaith Anand Karaj around Guru Sahib and it was just a different ceremony for the dad then it's ok. Also these days Punjabi Christians who converted are usually told to wear a turban, so there is a huge chance that this guy isn't Sikh, but in all honestly you really shouldn't be posting about people's personal life unless it directly effects you; or Guru Sahib. (I see neither of them negatively effected, well maybe you).
