Present Sikh leaders dont fight for Sikh principles but for money, power and fame

Have you guys noticed since militancy ended in mid 90s where real Sikh leaders fought and died for Sikhi and Sikh principles. We the sikh community worldwide have been left with bunch of cuck weak Sikh leaders who are under the army jackboot of the indian government.

When I look back at the speeches of sant bhindranwale he talked about reviving good values in people and to stay away from intoxicants and fighting the good fight for equal rights/treatment for Sikhs being a minority in the Indian union. Nowadays fake Sikh leaders like captain amrinder singh and badals promoted captalism and corruption and covert nashay distribution.

Today's Sikh leaders go by the following slogan "better to live a 100years as a donkey than 1 year of a lion". They look for self preservation of themselves and their relatives they dont really give a damn about the 30 million+ Sikh kaum and desh out there in the world. And these are the leaders that Gurbani talks about and exposes (e.g hypocrites and rich men, oppression of the weak/minorities).

Secondly more recently we have seen the rise of a sikh chauvinism which whilst may seem good because they apparently "defenders of the faith"..

In my view they often undermine the ideals of sikhi. .

One difficult existentially the sikh community has is that we are commanded not proselytise.. because guru ji taught us we are tisarpanth, sanji quam.. We are guardian's of bani. . But through our actions people will see the beauty and inherent truth and be drawn to it. .

that last thing you mentioned is an attitude of the goray  to slow down sikhi parchaar - the infamous jedi mind trick Bhai Jugraj Singh mentioned . Just look at the 200 plus year period of sikh history prior to Guru Gobind Singh ji joti jot

Sadly, it looks like the majority of apnay actually aspire to this hording themselves, rather than condemning it.

It's more easy to get caught up in this than you think bro. People become addicted to becoming rich even from GurSikh families.

If they had cognitive dissonance over these things, we'd be closer to a solution, it's the fact that they don't that causes the issue. 

There is nothing wrong with success, but when this isn't married with strong ethical values, and a giving attitude towards your own society - we get all the mad issues we have in our community. Like UK Sikhs being very successful and affluent but ignoring rampant and widespread sexual abuse and exploitation of their own children at the same time. 

There is good reason to be wary of over-emphasising wealth when ignoring other important things turns the community into a living joke amongst those around us.

So true. The thing is they're entitled to reap the benefits of their hard work, but i laugh when they start dropping pangtia from Gurbani in order to desperately justify their one-track obsession with accumulating as much as they can get their hands on.

It's similar to when a Sikh has an unnatural and excessive liking for wearing and buying gold jewellery, and you remind them that Sikhi doesn't look favourably on the gratuitous indulgence of such vulgarities, and they respond with, "Leh! Sadhe Guru Sahib sohneh toh begher pherdeh si?" And then you remind them that Guru Sahib also sacrificed his father, mother, and four sons, and you ask them if they plan on emulating that aspect of their life, too. Not a peep in response, lol.
