Reharas Sahib

Rakhiya Di Shabad + Kirtan Sohila

Akaal Ustat Chaupai

Sukhmani Sahib

Shabad Hazare P10

Shabad Hazare

Chandi Di Vaar

Chandi Charitar ustat

Tav Prasad Svawye (deen ki pritpal)

Currently im also in the process of adding Chandi Charitar to my nitnem banis, though of that I only do 70 pauris so far as im still learning (just up to the slaying of Rakhatbhej). Also in the process of doing Asa Di Vaar and Akaal ustat (learning) and i do Sehaj Path of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji too. Doing some bani from Dasam Granth but thats not really something I've done alot lately.   I've lately been really attached to the first few portions of Chaubis Avtar where its praises of Waheguru.

I don't always get all my banis done though so I aim for those as frequently as I can, this is due to internal issues and my timetable being cramped but I'm trying my hardest.

I really respect what your trying to do by encouraging people to tell everyone and somehow inspire them to do more bani; however, the result could be the opposite if someone is new; they'll just feel overwhelmed. Instead a more practical thing to do is turn this into a Simran thread where we just write Vahgeguru many times. If it feels weird for anyone I'm willing to start.

Vaheguru, Vaheguru, Vaheguru, Vaheguru, Vaheguru, Vaheguru, Vaheguru, Vaheguru, Vaheguru, Vaheguru, Vaheguru, Vaheguru. (@Khalistanisinghni, really respect the good intentions, but it's better that way). Even if everyone is gupt; if some Mahapurukh, (which probably doesn't have time for this site), came; well they'd probably put us to shame.

I listen to paat more than reading.

But most times my nitnem is:

--morning--

Shabad Hazare

Jaap

Shabad Hazare patshahi 10

Tav Prasad Swaiye

Tav Prasad Swaiye (Deenan ki Pratipal)

Tav Prasad Chaupai (Akal Ustat)

Anand Sahib

Chandi Di Vaar

Sodar Rehras (Hazoor Sahib or Budha Dal)

Aarti Aarta (Normally Budha Dal/Tarna Dal starting Lop Chandika, and in the end including last pauri of Chandi Di Vaar, and a part of Salok Mahalla 9

- however I alternatively listen to Hazoor Sahib Waddi and Chotti Aarti)

Guest Maharaj Kirpa

Maharaj kirpa

naam simran

Panj baniyan

panj granthi

15 ang sehaj paath

it took me 5 years of being an amritdhari to get to this nitnem (not that amazing). Before this would take me 5-6 (3 hours of simran and 2 hours 30 mins for panj granthi)  but I never gave up, then maharaj kirpa I can recite sukhmani sahib in around 25mins so i could complete panj granthi in around an hour.

if anyone wants to increase nitnem speed DO NOT do it yourself, you won’t get any rass. Increased speed only comes through naam simran. It’ll happen with kirpa and you won’t even feel like you’re reciting fast. This only happens through naam simran.

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
