Iowa Sikh Turbanators First Event

VENUE Meals from the Heartland, 357 Lincoln St, West Des Moines, United States

 
IST first event will be hosted at Meals from the Heartland.
*IST is a non-profit charity organization that helps supports people in need while also raising awareness Sikhism in Iowa. 

Details for the first event:
1. We will be helping Meals from the Heartland to package meals to be distributed around Iowa and Third world Countries.

2. The event will run from 9:00 am to 11:30 am. During these two hours, each team (6 people per team) will be assigned roles to do to complete a meal. Gloves and hair covering will be provided

3. After the event, snacks and hot tea will be served at the West Des Moines Sikh Temple. Everyone is welcomed to join.

4. Donations are accepted. $1 feeds 5 people. Iowa Sikh Turbanators Fundraising Goal for the first event is $4,000. 
All donation will go towards Meals from the Heartland. Tax refund is available. 

5. T-Shirts will be available for sale for $10. T-Shirts are for men, women, and children. Sizes are: Small, Medium, Large and Extra-Large. 

Children, Adults and Elderly are all welcomed. This is a great family event for everyone to enjoy and help the community out.

Are they doing this to genuinely do Seva or just A-s-s-kissing like most other events like this? The whole "everyone is welcome", just makes it seem too soft. Sometimes Daas wishes the Sikhs in America had the same courage as the Sikhs in Canada.

Well did you expect them to publish a list of people not allowed lol? The bigger problem is "turbantor" being used.
