Harkishan Singh Surjeet with Fidel Castro. Surjeet was instrumental in sending 10,000 tonnes of wheat to Cuba during the 1990s’ crisis.

During the economic crisis in Cuba in early 1990s, it was Punjab that came forward to bail Cuba out at the call of Harkishan Singh Surjeet, former CPI(M) general secretary, when the communist country was under the presidentship of Fidel Castro.

After the collapse of the Soviet Union and the socialist rules in East European countries, Cuba faced the hardest time ever because of the economic crisis. The period is also known as ‘Special Period’ in Cuba.

Comrade Harkishan Singh Surjeet made efforts to contribute for the biggest solidarity aid ever to the communist country. He called upon farmers in Punjab and some other states to collect grain and other things, including soap.

Is there proof of castro wanting the end of khalistan lehar?

Hmm I'd find it difficult to find you proof but it is fairly well known that communists did not support secessionist movements in india- a key Soviet ally in the region, the sovereignty and integrity of which was of paramount significance. This comrade surjeet fella, (though it's questionable whether he was a comrade of the Sikhs), was also heavy opposed to the Sikh movement.

Fidel castro, great for his country, great for most of his people, stood up to the US blah blah, but no friend of the Sikhs.

The next generation of comrades posing as Sikhs has come about and is now very active on social media posting things such as this. One example is 'Sikh Talk' on facebook.

These people are continuing the same tactics as the generations before them in Punjab. They wish to destroy Sikhi from inside by secretly promoting their extreme left wing views and anti-religious sentiments under the guise of being pro Sikh. These atheist comrades were the biggest enemies of the Sikh freedom movement and make up most of the current Sikh missionary dushts.

The current generation are not aware of the history of these scumbag commies in Punjab and therefore can be slightly naive when it comes to these kinds of snippets of info. For instance the fact that ATHEIST (not Sikh) Surjeet was a hugely hated individual in Punjab.

Beware of the commie menace!

Agree with what uv said but I'm not sure 'Sikh Talk' is trying to destroy sikhi or holds anti sikh sentiments...? please elaborate?
