Seeing the failure of simranjeet mann to get elected or get any decent voter turn out in various elections. It is high time he stepped aside and let a populist Sikh pro-khalistan leader come on to the scene and take charge. We are in a world where politics are being shifted on their head and nationalist movements and leaders are coming to power like in the west.

We have seen Sikhs of punjab are very pro-khalistan even after many genocides and schemes by the state to silence them by fear, they still come out in huge numbers such as rajoana protest and sarbat khalsa 2015.

So it is up to the Sikh leaders to put aside their ego's and come on one platform and fight for the panth. We know badals are dogs who are only interested in hindustan and punjabiyat, they dont see votes in Sikh causes any more. But as brexit has proved the votes are still there its just there needs to be enough motivation, awareness and anger from the people to rise up against the status quo and change the system by electing a pro-khalistan party, who will have a democratic and political mandate to create a Khalistan.

Khalistan won't be made over peace and love; the difference between all the other countries getting their political freedom and our rights is that none of the top elites feel any connection with us; when compared to Brexit and Donald Trump; they still have a similar relationship and that is they used to serve someone with commonness from them, (they were all white and Christian), when you compare that to Sikhs and other subcontinental people; even our religion is not the same; and most Punjabis aren't descended completely from Aryans and Dravidians, but rather with the bloodlines of Greeks and Scythians, with some other combinations of conquerors as well. If we want Khalistan there won't be a vote over it and the Hindus will just give it to us.

Khalistan or Khalsa raj will not be achieved through democracy. We dont have the demographic advantage to do that. But that doesnt mean Khalsa raj will not happen. It will happen. One needs to just observe the geo political situation of the region and see how things will eventually go towards that direction.

Then there is the spiritual dimension to this. After 1000 years of ghulami Hindus have finally gotten tgeir own raaj. But they ruled unfairly especially in regards to the Sikhs who were their wellwishers. They committed so much paap culminating into 1984 Ghalukara followed by the decade long state sponsored terrorism by the Indian security forces. Shaheedis by Singhs in this recent sangharsh will not go in vain.

SS Mann's time was over long ago, but there has to be a credible leader to take over. I haven't seen any such person come forward from Amritsar Akali Dal to be capable of such a position and responsibility. Until that time...

On another note, I have seen (but don't know how true it is) a statement from Atinderpal Singh saying there was no such granth as Dasam Granth in Sikh history. Atinderpal Singh if i'm not mistaken was/is part of Mann's Akali Dal.

Politicians are only as good as the people they represent. If our politicians are uncharistmatic and lacking in imagination it is because the people who elect them, apnaay, are exactly the same.

Trouble with our lot is that we suffer from what I call a Bhindranwale complex, where we're constantly sitting on our haunches waiting for someone like Sant Ji to turn up and do all our fighting for us. However men like this do not come along but a few times every generation, so we make do with charlatans and fools leading us instead. Rather than waiting for another Bhindranwale, it would be better if each and every Sikh focused on becoming a Bhindranwale themselves. I have no doubt that we would also start to see a general improvement in the character of Sikh politicians if we pursued this goal.

Weren't Punjabi people basically weak before the creation of Dhan Dhan Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji coming on this Earth, if you look at history, from the beginning of time till the event known as Dhan Dhan Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji Prakash, the people there did nothing but be lazy in fighting the enemy, (even the Khatris, who were the great defenders of all of Bharat had given up at fighting the invaders). Many kingdoms took it over, and with the rise of Sikhi, the people were finally independent from all those conquerors.
