What do you think of Sikh parents who try to portray the illusion that their family are devout religious Sikhs but are only maintaining that illusion so they look good in the community?

Let the situation lead them into real life, (if you don't know what that means, while they attempt to hide the reality, let usually surfacing the truth with minimal Gurbani, hopefully we can let that minimal Gurbani effect the reality and bring them into Sikhi). What exactly do you want us to do about it, odds are we really can't do anything. Daas knows some of these folks and they annoy everyone.

It is hard to hide for long, eventually your pretences catch up with you and you get ashamed in the world in front of everyone.

Sister,

if the children of those parents think or believe as you say, then, it is the moral duty of the children to lovingly bring out that situation  and tell their opinions to improve it.

There are quite a few cases, where parents are as good as children, and children are as good as adults, in correct thinking.

But the main thing at all times, is to keep harmony among the family, and for that reason, there sholud also be a good communication between all the family members.

Sat Sree Akal.
