Taming New Wife !

Three guys were sitting together bragging about how they had told their new wives what their household duties were to be.

The first man had married a woman from Village.

He gloated that he had told his wife she was going to do all the house work. In the evening he came home to a clean house, the dishes were done and there was a huge dinner on the table.

The second man had married a woman from Small Town.

He bragged that he had given his wife orders that she was to do all the cleaning, dishes and the cooking. On the first day he didn't see any results, but the next day it was better. By the third day, house was clean, the dishes were done and he had a huge dinner on the table.

The third man married a girl from Big City.

He boasted that he told her that her duties were to keep the house clean, dishes washed, lawn mowed, laundry washed and hot meals on the table for every meal. He said the first day he didn't see anything, the second day he didn't see anything but by the third day most of the swelling had gone down and he could see a little out of his left eye just enough to fix himself a bite to eat, load the dishwasher, find a cleaning lady, and telephone a landscaper.

Because we have been taking life so seriously and have forgotten to seriously have a laugh and sometimes let the small things go by.............

Bhainji which gursikh would find domestic violence and misogyny funny? I remember watching a program once on the mechanism of laughing , it is an outward sign of you thinking you are superior to the person/situation that you are laughing at , given that and also the sachia that Guru Teg Bahadur ji never once laughed in his whole life means that it's overrated  and a tool to work on what we have going on inside us ... haumai mael

It seems to me that it was the husband that needed taming!  The first two women were foolish enough to follow orders.  The third one had more sense than the first two.  Well done to the third one for domesticating the tamer!  She scores 100 out of 100.

Sikhs ought to follow Gurus' teachings on gender equality!  They are very simple to understand and apply.  One does not need a university degree to follow these teachings, any country bumpkin can follow them.

I heard from kathavachaks and read that due to his bairagi avasta he was not inclined to joviality ... he was jodha in teens then became duniya tyagi, the he entered into  27years of bhagti  what do you think ?

Doesn't Bairag mean separation from Vaheguru? Daas would expect that people would have enough respect for the Gurus to not say some things, (especially those involved in Katha).
