I think there is going to be huge pressure to prove his hindu nationalist creditionals, and the Indian intelligence agency RAW to attack jihadis based in pakistani occupied kashmir especially around khotli.

There will be payback for sure whether its in covert support/aid for seperatists in baluchistan, aiding pakistani taliban or direct air strikes in kashmir...time will only tell

the hindutva gang is full of ego and arrogance and it will never allow a referrendum to take place in Kashmir.

I have a feeling there is going to be lots of blood shed of kashmiris and indian army in the coming months and years.

Yes there is dangers of escalation whenever the Indian military is attacked by pakistan kashmir based jihadi's. The Indian army commanders and hindu political leaders have a huge ego and very little intelligence or care of the snowball effects it can have on the region. They like to get revenge as they see their national honour and prestiage in the military. They (the Indian hindu establishment) dont care if Indian civilians get attacked or killed much but if Indian army is attacked then that establishment always look for revenge.

Only a few years ago they were dropping leaflets in kashmir warning those near the LoC the threat of nuclear attack and to keep away from the border. So we have no idea the game plan Indian national security advisor Avjit Doval and the rest of Indian establishment has in mind.

I was watching a debate on youtube about this incident and former generals were talking about carrying out covert "military" aka terrorist operations against pakistan and creating hindu terrorist suicide squads to attack pakistani kashmir.

And it seems these former indian military guys are not joking they want to go back to the 1960s,70s,80s when the RAW was created and it was involved in carrying out terrorist operations against India's percieved enemies.

We just need to look at the case of "sarbjit singh" who was a hindu punjabi Indian RAW terrrorist operative who bombed lahore killing civilians and got caught and got killed in jail recently and given full military state funeral by the gadar badal and his punjab government for military services for the Indian union..

This is a huge attack by Pak based militants. 17 soldiers being killed is not a small thing. Modi will probably not sit quiet. His reputation is on the line here. Let's see what he will do.

They couldn't do it after Mumbai they can't do it now.And as for covet aid they are doing it for the last decade via Afghanistan. They are not gonna do something different. This time it would be difficult for modi to satisfy Bollywood inspired Hindu zombies.Any limited air strikes in Azad Kashmir are out of question given that it is not clear yet if the attackers were indeed from Pakistan or they were local Kashmiris.

True, but the difference between the Bombay attack and this is that, Modi wasn't pm of India then. One of the reasons Modi was elected is because Hindus see him as a no bs type of guy who will retaliate hard against Muslims and Pakistan in particular when a terrorist attack occurs. 

 

One of two things will occur. (A) India will  conduct a surgical strike in Pakistan(which I highly doubt India is capable of doing). (B) India will conduct terrorist attacks in Pakistan through their Afghan and Baloch assets.

 

Option b is much more likely because I think that is what Ajit Doval will suggest to Modi to do in retaliation. But let's wait and see.

option b is more likely but then again India is doing this for many years.If Modi chooses to do the same thing then how is he any different then previous congress pm's ?

P.S It is not confirmed yet if the attack was done by "infiltrators" or by locals.
