Some Home Truths

149 posts in this topic

Waheguru ji ka khalsa my brothers and sisters Waaheguru ji ki fateh.

And so, from one that is no longer welcome on this forum, let me summarize, bearing in mind that point 3, and point 3 alone, is my main point:

1) There's been threads, and a popular thread, about the issue of milk (products) in our Gurdwaras. Yet, interestingly, no one in those discussions has seen fit to mention how it was me who had been putting forward the Sikhi based arguments for it for the last 3 years on this very forum.

2) There's been a thread about a 'Rita Johal', and that thread has been mega popular as you've all seen it as a mega new topic. And yet none of you who posted in that thread remembered my goodbye thread (after the Mods here banned me) in which I mentioned Rita Johal (and 2 other Sikh females) who were either married to or going out with, Leicester City players or high profile supporters who were out on the pitch with them in celebratory scenes that were headline news throughout the world. In that goodbye thread, I mentioned how, seeing as how most of you are UK Sikhs and UK Sikhs are most probably the most inarticulate, mis-informed, illiterate muppets on god's earth, who was going to take my mantle of being able to see outside the box........i.e see a thing before it becomes bleedingly obvious. The fact that several weeks later someone here starts a thread about Rita Johal as if he or she had discovered a great new topic and you all, in masses, posted on it with your brand new thoughts about a brand new topic, gives us a very good indication as to why the Indian Hindu national stereotype of a Sikh is as a thicko and why they (the Hindu in India......i.e......the man that has a government that represents him.......a government that is seeking a permanent seat on the security council.....i.e a man with power. This man....I dunno what his name is....probably Romesh, Rakesh or summfink........This man...lets call him Rakesh..., with his view of Sikhs as dumb simpletons, is the reason we are in the state we are in (we're in a lot of sorry states but none more so than the fact that we, as a sangat on Sikh Sangat dot com.................are not even capable of spotting issues unless a period of exactly 4 weeks passes. :omg:

3) And so to my final and most important point. The suicidal Brexit.

The Mods here banned me. Who knows where in the world they sit and who knows how intelligent they are. None of that is important though but what is important is how a Singh repeatedly points out the increasing bigotry and hatred that is manifested on this forum and this of course makes those bigoted and hateful forum members complain about the Singh and....ultimately...the Singh gets banned.

And so, my sisters and brothers living outside the UK, please understand this: If you want to get an insight into the average poster on this forum and understand how the UK Sikhs can regularly turn out 80,000 every single year on the bluestar remeberace / Khalistan march and have a 100 professional parcharks and yet not be capable of having a single member of parliament, look at the widely available interactive map of London re; the EU vote. It shows that the whole of London, i.e 90%, was in favour of being part of the European Union but only 2 tiny areas were in favour of leaving and destroying their own children's future. Guess what those only 2 tiny areas were ? The extreme west of London....i.e Hayes and Southall (i.e the Sikh heartland of London) and the extreme east, i.e Ilford (east London's Sikh heartland).

And there we have it. The Singh that tried to counter the xenophobes gets banned well before the vote and so the Mods and Admins ensure the illiterate lemmings have the final and definitive say....i.e the vote.

And what was this final and definitive say?

Well. there's too many things to mention here but lets just sumarise by saying London's screwed because Frankfurt will now become Europe's financial capital, our economy is screwed, our housing market is screwed, our credit rating is screwed...we're in for 20 to 30 years of hard time and yet, we'll have to (as per the Norway example) have to pay in 80% more into the EU than we used to as a member just to enjoy the free trade and still have to adhere to the free movement (i.e immigration).

And there we have it. A nation so blinded by bigotry it was willing to destroy it's economy just so it could pay 80% more than it currently did and have the same amount of immigration. This is....without a shadow of a doubt, the most uneducated, illiterate nation on earth. Trump is such a bufoon of a countryand so blinded by xenophobia he thinks he is willing to build a wall to keep the others out. I used to think you couldn't get stupider than that but I forgot my own country. My own country is so stupid it makes Donald Trump look like an Oxford professor. My own country is so Stupid it destroyed it's own self and it's own children's future just to keep 'foreigners' out without having enough intelligence to know that it had the best deal in Europe and would now have to pay 80% extra for the exact same deal.

We are, without a shadow of a doubt, the most dumbest nation on Waheguru's earth and we, who have been here nearly 100 years and yet still can't produce an MP are without a doubt the dumbest of them all.

Why are you so pro-muslims and anti-hindus? Neither of them are our friends.

2 questions :

1) How exactly does my original point/thread about Rita Johal being with a Muslim (and 3 other Sikh girls in teicester City Football Club camp being married to non-Sikhs) i.e an original thread in which I criticised her for being with being "so pro-muslim" ?

2) How exactly does the point of this thread, which is the fact that the UK voters are the most idiotic, uneducated, dumbest on earth in the fact that they stupidly ruined their own economies and their own children's futures by voting 'leave' make you equate this thread with being "pro-muslim" ?

Are you an escaped mental patient ? :stupidme:

actually Redbridge voted to remain overwhelmingly so no I refute your argument ...I tell you who voted out it was the recently naturalised sikhs (including my bro-in-law ) because they saw the word independence and did the knee <banned word filter activated> thing . The whole Brexit thing is so complex , you have arguments for and against national sovereignity, being forced to honour EU legislation above your own nation's ; which would be suicidal in the case of the proposed TTIP where the american corporations would have a legal right to bid for every public service contract in every member state and if they don't win sue for compensation from indvidual nations ...sound like hostile takeover to me BTW I voted in because I was concerned about sikhs throughout Europe and how we need to stic together to help keep our hard won rights. It is not even split into left and right of centre ...because it involves looking into what is coming down the pipeline , the multiyear EU budget that was yet to be decided by EU commission not individual nations at the table , including a centralised EU army which UK would have to acquiese control of its own fleet and armies to. Silver lining is the idiots may have bought us a little more time before TTIP or similar trade agreement is cobbled together for the UK which Cameron is itching to sign us up for . Corbyn wanted us to remain so that he could negotiate us out of it ...

The people who voted for joining the EEC were voting just to join a common market not a centrally controlled legislature, monetary system, army, government...which it has morphed into gradually over the years.

Thank you S4NGH, but there is a real point that I was hoping the sangat here would be intelligent enough to each on its own without my prompting because, let face it, I don't really belong here. In the last 2 weeks so many myths about 'Great' Britain have been laid bare for the whole world to see:

1) We started with the Euro 2016 where we, along with the entire world discovered some 'home truths' :

  • As a football nation we are at best in the 2nd tier and most probably in the 3rd tier.
  • As a people we are plain and simply unpleasant people with horrible personalities. The Irish, for example, charmed the entire globe with their jovial humour, songs and genuine nature whereas the whole of Europe were glad to see the back of us as our fans lacked personality, humour and any redeeming qualities.
  • The Russian fans (even though they were vicious racist facists) showed the world that the traditional English working class fighting hard man is nothing but a myth and bravado and they showed this by demonstrating how 250 trained, sober men could beat the living daylights out of 50,000 drunk Englishmen with military planning of planned attacks from various angles lasting no more than 120 seconds each. (indeed, the tactic the Russians deployed in Marseilles is something we Sikhs in the Punjab need to learn and master next time we take on the shiv sena and police.

2) The collective national suicide that was the Brexit vote showed the whole world that the intelligent, educated Englishman that period dramas and Hollywood portrays was nothing but a myth. The Americans finally got to understand what continental Europe already knew about us, i.e we are far more uneducated, ill-informed and downright dumb than any redneck hillbilly in Alabama.

3) The Chilcot Report yesterday showed clearly how we are actually a 3rd rate military power with dellusions of being an actual power. Not only did we possess the military planning and tactical know-how of a schoolboy but we could only afford a schoolboy's pocket money on vital military equipment which, ultimately, along with our stubborn and 'proud' refusal of help from the Americans, led directly to our own soldiers deaths.

Our country, in the last 2 weeks, has been laid bare. The whole world has seen with its own eyes rubbish and uneducated it really is.

I notice from the 'Teresa May is the new Prime Minister' thread on the main page the uneducated and ill-informed masses that also called for the economic suicidal brexit have also failed to notice 2 things since Brexit :

1) 2 days ago, the UK government made a major new announcement stating its intention to build super economic ties with India. To illustrate this, the UK government dispatched its Trade and Industry Minister to Delhi for talks. In layman's terms, that means a clampdown on Sikh rights.

2) Today, the new Prime Minister announced that an Indian Hindu (Priti Patel) will, from today, be the UK's new Secretary for International Development. In layman's terms, that means plenty of trips to Delhi to draw up trade and a clampdown on Sikh rights that go with it.

The stupidity, ignorance and downright ineptitude of the majority of posters on this forum is manifesting itself faster than we thought.

Ignorance?

First of all, it's not the Trade and Industry Minister. For your information, the Minister for Trade and Investment is Lord Price. He wasn't in India last week.

https://www.gov.uk/government/ministers/minister-of-state-for-trade-and-investment

If you mean the former Business Secretary, Sajid Javid, then at least get the correct ministry. Isn't that rather "stupid" or shall I say, "ignorant" of you?

Secondly, Priti Patel, will make no more trips to India than previous ministers. And why shouldn't they? For all the problems we Sikhs think India has caused us, India is, like it or not, a force to be reckoned with. Every country from Australia to the USA and Canada wants to do trade deals with India. What do you expect British government ministers to do, sit there and pass a good business deal when they see one just because of Jagsaw? Priti Patel or Joe Bloggs, trade missions to India are going to happen. Fact.

Unless you live in cuckoo land, there is no such thing as ethical foreign policy.

Thirdly, current Sikh leaders have done more damage to Sikh rights than any Patel can try. Be it Sikh Council UK meetings with Modi, Badal and Captain Amrinder Singh pretending to hate eachother when they have in reality, collectively made a fool of Sikhs, or gurdwara pardhaans lining their own pockets.

Re; the '70 Dead in France Truck Terror Attack' thread on the main page:

There's two ways one can respond to this. One is to articulate how much we detest terror and terrorism and hope it just goes away and the other is to look at things in an educated intellectual way and examine the particular peculiar status quo that exists in France.

One thing all the major recent terror attacks have had in common is that they have all been committed by alcohol drinking drug taking street fashionable clean shaven French born young men. None of them have been what we would perceive to the 'Islamic fundamentalist' type and none have sported the look of one. All of them, however, have found a ready made excuse of 'Islam' to do what they wanted to do all along.

France itself has created the conditions. It operates a widespread unofficial apartheid system whereby all French born of black parentage or north African parentage are housed in purpose made souless, lifeless, hopeless 'surburbs (banlieu) away from the city centre which is preserved for white Frenchmen and women to live in. In these suburbs, unemployment is 500% higher than it is in the UK's worst inner city ghettos and the citizens are expected to live out their whole lives without hope for a job or future.

Men who do evil things like this, mowing down innocent and beautiful little children as well as adults, are not just born that way. Conditions.....their environment....turns them out that way.

France needs to do more than just condemn these evil acts. It needs to examine hard why the 4th and 5th generation France born young men of north African heritage....who have been French citizens continously for 200 years.....reject the idea of being French.

Re; the 'Young Sikh Convert severely beaten' thread on the main page:   The main subsequent point is, as 'muscleman' quite rightly pointed out, the fact that the young man clearly has neither a "broken arm' nor "2 broken legs". This in turns begs the question why so many of our organisations (good and decent organisations) feel the incessant need to exaggerate all the time. Exaggerate to such a degree that the thing they're saying becomes a lie.

The real issue that the thread throws up then, is the fact that we, as a community, are already at a stage where wider society an especially the Indian media ignore our claims because they feel the Sikhs have an inherent ability to make things out to be worse than they they are. When our organisations do things that perpetuate that stereotype we need to pull them up on it. Up until now, everybody on that thread except 'muscleman' has pretended that he or she just doesn't see the obvious untruth in the thread title claim and continued to post messages displaying their disgust at the '2 broken legs and arms of a young man'. If we, as a community, are going to keep letting our organisations lie and exaggerate at will, it means we are giving them the green light to keep doing so. With that comes the reputation as a community that continuously cries wolf. With that tag, we will forever be losers and never winners in the battle for hearts and minds.

Re; the 'Sikhism on Vegan' thread on the main page:

Guru Granth Sahib has said all food is pavittar , given to all according to their needs ...without naam and being aghirtghan we eat that which we have polluted with our own bad thoughts and actions . Let not fight about what is pure and not to eat, but strive to improve our levels of bhagti and gratitude  and do ardas that we rise above our swaad ras ...

That, is the classic line that meat eaters give, partly to detract attention from their own flesh eating habits and partly to make themselves feel spiritually better about having a habit of eating corpses.

Thanatos said:

Soo are vegans fine using computers since they're made using animal products? are they willing to give up the internet as well then? How about medicine?

Vegans don't eat computers.  Computers are made for spreadsheets and surfing the web.  Medicines are made for eating. Waheguru didn't create animals for you to kill them, skin them, cut them into pieces and eat them. He created an abundance of other things to fulfill that purpose of your existence.

Thanatos then went on to say:

Quote

I've noticed alot of people claiming they do it out of Daya and compassion (not drinking milk) but the use of animal products in other every day items should also be something they can easily give up. But most don't, Guru Sahib taught us not to be hypocrites as well. There's no point creating a song and dance about how you've given this up and that if you can't give up things even less important than milk.

Belts and shoes are made for wearing. They are not made for eating. 2 totally different things.  As for milk, you, as a human, were made to drink your mother's milk. Not the milk of some other animal. No human was designed to drink the milk of another species. In fact, apart from we humans, there is no other animal on earth that will drink the milk of another species. Waheguru designed that other specie's milk to feed that species baby. He didn't design the earth so that you can come along and drag away that species that has just given birth while it cries for it's baby, straps machines to it while it cries for it's baby, and milk it to death just so that you can enjoy a glass of milk. All of that goes against the laws of nature. None of the above has any resemblence to putting on a leather belt to hold one's pants up. Unless, of course, one is in the habit of eating one's belt for dinner.

bro , nice try but my point was arguing about substances which is maya  above thinking about conduct thoughts and actions  is upside down . I don't eat maas and I don't care what others choose for themselves because they are piling up pain for themselves , sure I can suggest be deep thinkers and not just plump for easy option ... but the truth is most meat eating sikhs don't even consider the prohibition on kosher/halal/bali style meats their desire to eat rules .

Sikhs are made to improve and make the world better place for all and if we can create khalsa ethics based farming (organic) and Dairy (natural insemination, fixed number of pregnancies well spaced out, mother child bonding and retirement to pasture ) it will be great for this country and any others who take it up . I have seen up close how my Nani ji treated animals and I think she took it as a sewa done with much love , eating after making sure they were fed first 'just because they cannot speak doesn't mean we treat them badly or lesser , they too are Akal Purakh's jia.'

I am predominately vegan now as dairy eating causes my fingers to seize up and also I do not want to add to the misery  of those poor animals... if I find an ethical dairy then I may consider it for sourcing butter to make ghee for Karah .

Re; the "Wife of Devout British Sikh Murders her Husband in India" thread on the main page:

I notice from India news reports that the 2 had only been married for 4 years. I also notice from the photographs that the 2 children are quite obviously alot older than 4 years old. This means she isn't actually the mother of those children so there is perhaps a little more to this story than meets the eye as in the fact that this man based his decision on who he was going to live with and raise his children purely on looks and 'trophy wife' criteria rather than who was actually morally good.

The second point I would like to raise is that parcharaks and preachers that instruct people to grow their beard long and become amritdhari need to be a lot more responsible and understand the impact it has on a marriage and family unit. To instruct one half of a marriage to become amritdhari whilst the other is clearly not even a bit inclined towards that path is clearly the death nail of a marriage. Not least because one of the rules is that there can no longer be sexual relations between the two. This marriage was always doomed but I don't think anyone could have predicted such a violent and painfull end.

Re; the 'Leamington Gurdwara police invasion' thread on the main page:.      I had a telephone call and email from the Inspector in charge of the investigation into the complaints wanting to know if I was there on the day. I told them in no uncertain terms that it was none of their business where I was and they should worry less about me and worry more about the fact that the force has a Gold Commander that has less knowledge about the Law as it stands with various UK communities than an average UK 10 year old who, after school visits to 'Sikh temples', knows the right in Law that Sikhs have to wear the Kirpan. And there you have it: Great Britain: The country so uneducated and stupid that even the enforcers of Law don't know the Law!!!             But, as 99% of you proved on that thread, there is only one thing more I'll-informed, uneducated and self-destructive than a UK policeman, and that one thing is a UK Sikh. The racist media and the anti-sikh Indians try to distort the actual issue by claiming that Sikhs are anti-black and anti-White racists with views about inter-racial marriage that belong in 1960s Missisipi but instead of showing the world that our one and only issue is about the holy Anand Karaj ceremony 99% of you on that main thread give our enemies exactly the sort of ammunition they were hoping for by going on about racist inter-racial relationships etc. We don't need enemies when we have people like you guys on our side.                                     Re; the 'Taming of new wife' thread on the main page: .                It's only a joke but the joke itself and the subsequent replies show a complete lack of knowledge and understanding of Punjab 2016. Being married to a girl from a village I can state categorically that they are the most violent and viscous females known to man. You do not and cannot force or tame them into doing anything. The multitude of well-publicised murders they have committed over the last 10 years is testament to that fact.   Besides, as they come from a background psyche and culture of them going out to work and the housework being shared the 'joke' itself doesn't work in a Punjabi setting. The urban 'city' Punjabi female on the other hand comes from a culture which states that her function is to stay at home and do the housework rather than go out and work. Thus, like I said, the 'joke' itself makes no sense at all in a Punjabi setting.  In addition, when one adds to the equation the fact that Indian newspapers are full of stories of these 'city' wives in Punjab being murdered and set on fire by husbands and one-laws while the violent village girls are famous for doing killings, the replies to that nonsense joke thread reveal even more just how ill-informed, uneducated and ignorant of basic knowledge the vast majority of you are

Re; the 'Sunny Hundal on Mixed Marriages' thread on the main page:

The first thing I will say is read my previous message above this one.

The second thing I will say is don't use Sunny Hundal for your own shortcomings when a thousand and one other (i.e 100%) of newspaper columnists have said exactly the same thing and portrayed we as the bad guys.

The third, and most important point is that you should all take a good long hard look at yourselves and examine the part you play in ensuring we Sikhs stay as a gulaam of India and a gulaam in terms of international media relations:    Time and again we Sikhs tell all and sundry we have absolutely no issue whatsoever with who any human wishes to marry....fall in love with....date.....marry. Thats their business, not ours. The only thing we say is that such a marriage, if its between a Sikh and a non-sikh, belongs in a civil marriage registry office.  This is an argument and point of view that in theory would cause us no controversy in the media and will supply our enemies with no ammunition against us, not least because no non-muslim can marry in a Mosque, no non-Jew can marry in a Synagogue and no non-Christian can marry in a church unless and untill the non-christian half sings a desposition promising that that he/she will allow the children of the marriage to practice Christianity freely as their main and only faith.  So, all in all, quite a simple issue 'till now. But 'now' is when you guys come along and throw a spanner (wrench) in the works. You post message after message in the original thread about Sikh "girls" marrying black men, muslims and white men etc and how its a crying shame on our demographics and then you're surprised and outraged when Sunny Hundal and 100% of the other newspaper article writers find it easy to portray you and I as racists with a mentality that belongs in America's deep south of the 1960's.

Take a good look at yourself and understand the part you played in our downfall.

Re the: 'For Uk Sikhs: How Common are Sikh/Muslim Relationships in the UK' ?:

Having lived in both Canada and the UK I am well placed to answer this. The answer is that the UK sikh girls with Muslim men problem is only about 10% of the massive Sikh girls with Christian men problem in Canada. Our (UK) sikh girl with muslim men problem is probably at about the same level of the sikh girls with muslim men problem in the greater Toronto area, particularly Mississauga.

The thing you need to remember when forming your opinions about the state of  problems in the UK is the fact that the UK Sikhs, unlike the Canadian and American Sikhs, are notoriously pessimistic and negative. They have a great tendancy to exagerate.

My two cents worth?  A man truly worthy of our upmost respect. A pioneer in that from now, there will be many that will take on the mantle and get out on the streets and tell the world about Sikhi in the language of the street. The epitome of the legendary bravery of Sikhs in that he will take his message of Sikhi right into the lions den (Speakers Corner......Muslims etc) with the confidence that Gurbani and his kirpan gives him.  I will NEVER....EVER...say a bad word against him. But...I will say this:

Years ago, I wrote a piece for the national news and I not only got published but I instigated a debate.  When princess diana died and women and men up and down the land were crying and laying flowers at her home I wrote a piece asking this : I asked why it was that these people were crying, taking time off work and spending hundreds on driving hundreds of miles to buy and lay flowers for a person that they had never even met when these same people had placed their own mothers, grandmothers and fathers in retirement home institutions and never once cried or taken days off for them. When I saw on TV the line of people that had driven down to London for Jugraj Singh's kirtan programme the other day I couldn't help but feel those same thoughts again. I thought how many of those Singhs and Kaurs that had taken time off work and driven hundreds of miles had bajurgs at home for whom they not only ignore and dismiss the pain that comes with old age but would make excuses about work committments when it comes to hospital appointments and would never in a thousand years drive a hundred miles for ?

Moral of the story ?   There are bajurgs at home....your chache, thaye, massadh, babe and nenneh as well as your grandparents that are in the last days, weeks, months and years of their lives....and are experiencing the bodily pain that comes with it.  If you can take a day off, drop everything, give all your attention and resources to a man you've never even met then it surely is time you started thinking about the bajurgs in your own home that worked hard to give you everything you have today ?

Re; The 'UK Demographics - more Indians than Pakistanis' thread on the main page:

Perception is very different to reality. For example, if you're a Bhatra Sikh in the UK it is very easy to form the perception that bhatras form an amazingly high percentage of the UK Sikh population and be surprised to find out the reality. That is because the bhatras by and large live in cities and towns that other Sikh groups do not live in in big numbers, for example Cardifff, Portsmouth, Bristol, Manchester etc, so when you most often see people like yourself around you it is easy to form the opinion that there are not many of the others. The same is true in terms of Sikhs and non-Punjabi Hindus. Lets take London for example. Along with New York it is one of the 2 Alpha + cities of the world......Around 10 million people and we Sikhs really only have 2 tiny areas of it that can be termed 'Sikh areas' (the Southall/Hayes/Hounslow-Heston-Cranford districts in west London, the Goodmayes area of Ilford in east London and the Plumstead/Woolwich area of south east London). Within these traditional 'Sikh areas' the Hindu Indians also make up a very healthy minority. The Hindu Indians on the hand have massive heartands in the whole of north and north west London encopassing every single town and district within the area. In addition, with their Tamil Hindu population, they also have huge swathes of south west London, particularly in and around Tooting. Out of London, they (Indian Hindus) also have something that no Sikh or Pakistani has, i.e. a majority in one of the Uk's big cities (Leicester).

So, like I said, perception and reality are most often  totally different things. For example, our 'perception' would be that Sikhs totally outnumber Muslims in Canada. The reality however, is that Muslims outnumber Sikhs in Canada by 2.5 to 1.  Our 'perception' might be that the UK and the UK alone has massive communities of Somalians, after they were inititially granted asylum in the late 1980's. The reality however, is that Canada, at the time, took in the greatest number of Somalians. Perception and reality are 2 different things.
