Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Vaheguru Ji Ki Fateh! Why didn't the "Low-Caste" people in India become Sikh, especially with the values of equality and many other things within the path of Gurmat that wasn't in Hinduism or Islam, (especially with the whole superiority complex in both religions, with Indian Muslims considered less than Arab Muslims and Low-Caste Hindus being considered lower caste than Brahman Hindus?) What I'm trying to understand is why these people would just stay being treated like dogs and animals rather than accept Gurmat, (which has complete equality). There were clearly some who did become Sikhs though like the Vanjarias, and others; but there are still more low-caste Hindus than there are Brahmans. Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Vaheguru Ji Ki Fateh!

Human nature does not follow logic.

Dr. Ambedkar wanted to become a Sikh and as usual Master Tara Singh and other so called Sikh leaders got threatened. That they have to share their power . So they told him (Dr. Ambedkar) off. Saying that we cannot hand Darbar Sahib off to these Churas and Chamars. Also Kanshi Ram the next big SC-ST leader after Ambedkar was born in a Ravidassi Sikh family but choose to become a Buddhist. Hence our own so called leaders short sightness and greediness of not letting Dalits be part of Sikhi. Else Sikhi would have had a major population explosion if we followed the teaching of our Gurus.

Dr Ambedkar was the messiah for Dalits and backward classes in India. Also nations first law minister.

When Ambedkar became Buddhist, how many Dalit followed suit. Not many, otherwise there would several hundred million Buddhists in India today.

How can we be sure that Ambedkar becoming Sikh would have resulted in millions of Dalit becoming Sikh?

That's the truth of the matter.

Our people are stank hypocrites when it comes to this.

At least Hindus have the excuse of their religion actually condoning this degrading crap. What excuse have Sikhs got? None.

That was a bit disturbing to watch, is this really the level of Pakhand some "so-called" Sikhs have?

Seriously, have you been living in a cave?

This is 'normal behaviour' amongst A LOT of our lot.

Truth is that people have been a bit more covert about their supremacism for the past few years (compared to previously) but it's still there, encouraged and perpetuated behind closed doors in families.
