What to ask from Wahiguru?

The whole world asks for things from Wahiguru. Some ask wisdom, others health, wealth, children, name, fame, and a countless list of wishes or trishnas.

And all that would be nothing, but maya, koorr...

Many will say, the best thing will be in us doing His bhakti as per my understanding, like jap, tap, poojas, paaths, fastings, bathings, pilgrimages, etc.

But Sant Janas, Guru Sahibans, being an example themselves, clear all our doubts and tell us what to exactly ask from Wahiguru.

Following are some words on this matter, by our beloved Fifth Patshahee, in His Bani Raag Suhi:

ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕੀਜੈ ਸਾ ਮਤਿ ਦੀਜੈ ਆਠ ਪਹਰ ਤੁਧੁ ਧਿਆਈ

Kirapaa Keejai Saa Math Dheejai Aath Pehar Thudhh Dhhiaaee

किरपा कीजै सा मति दीजै आठ पहर तुधु धिआई

Show Your Mercy, and bless me with such understanding, that I may meditate on You, twenty-four hours a day.

If we pay a bit of attention to these words, we observe that Guru Jee is asking Wahiguru, that please bless me to meditate on you for all the 24 hoursof the day.

Do we know why is He saying so? Have we ever stopped to think why about it?

Because Guru Sahibans know, the moment they leave us a bit free, we moorakhs will do our manmat outer dharmic practices.

So in order to make sure, that we abide by Gurmat, He is being an example for us, that, it is only His Chintan, His Dhyan, His Naam Simran, which should be considered as real Bhakti, and which is accepted in His Darbar, thus should be done or carried out, not as something occasional or lightly, but regularly everday and that too as much as possible, because it is the only spiritual wealth which we shall carry with us at departure from this plane.

GIVE IT SOME THOUGHT,

MY FRIENDS....

Wisdom and Virtue, combined

with Humanity, makes a Person.

Words of Wisdom for modern day living.

When we are in heaven -

Our money is still in the bank.

When we are alive - We don't have enough money to spend.

When we are gone - There is still a lot of money not spent.

One tycoon in China passed away. His widow, with $1.9 billion in the bank, remarried his chauffeur.

His chauffeur said, "All the while I thought I was working for my boss.

Now I realize that my boss was all the time working for me ! "

The cruel reality is:

It is more important to be strong and healthy than to have more wealth.

So we must strive to have a strong and healthy body-- it doesn't matter who is working for whom.

A high-end mobile phone --

70% of the functions are useless

An expensive car - 70% of the speed is not needed

A luxurious villa - 70% of the space is not occupied

A whole wardrobe of clothes -

70% of it is not worn

A whole life of earning -

70% is for other people to use. So we must protect and make full use of our 30%.

Go for medical exams even if you are not sick

Drink more water even if you are not thirsty

Must let go even when you are faced with grave problems

Must give in even if you are in the right.

Must be humble even though you are very powerful.

Must be content

even if you are not rich.

Must exercise even when you are very busy.

LIFE IS SHORT -

SO LIVE LIFE TO THE FULLEST.

DON'T BECOME THE RICHEST MAN IN THE CEMETERY!!

*But, become spiritual wise as rich as you can, by doing as much as Bhajan bandagee as you can, because this is the only wealth which we can carry with us into His Darbar.

SOME TIPS ON HOW TO LIVE GRACEFULLY ...

Many people feel unhappy, health-wise and security-wise, after 60 years of age, owing to the diminishing importance given to them and their opinions.
But, it need not be so, if only we understand the basic principles of life
and follow them scrupulously. Here are ten mantras to age gracefully and
make life after retirement pleasant.

1. Never say ‘I am aged' : There are three ages, chronological, biological, and psychological. The first is calculated based on our date of birth; the second is determined by the health conditions; the third is how old we feel we are. While we don't have control over the first, we can take care of our health with good diet, exercise and a cheerful attitude. A positive attitude and optimistic thinking can reverse the third age.

2. Health is wealth: If you really love your kith and kin, taking care of your health should be your priority. Thus, you will not be a burden to them.
Have an annual health check-up and take the prescribed medicines regularly. Do take health insurance coverage.

3. Money is important: Money is essential for meeting the basic necessities of life, keeping good health and earning family respect and security. Don't spend beyond your means even for your children. You have lived for them all through and it is time you enjoyed a harmonious life with your spouse. If your children are grateful and they take care of you, you are blessed. But,never take it for granted.

4. Relaxation and recreation: The most relaxing and recreating forces are a healthy religious attitude, good sleep, music and laughter. Have faith in God, learn to sleep well, love good music and see the funnyside of life.

5. Time is precious: It is almost like holding a horses' reins. When they are in your hands, you can control them. Imagine that every day you are born again. Yesterday is a cancelled cheque. Tomorrow is a promissory note. Today is ready cash - use it profitably. Live this moment; live it fully, now, in the present time.

6. Change is the only permanent thing: We should accept change - it is inevitable. The only way to make sense out of change is to join in the
dance. Change has brought about many pleasant things.
We should be happy that our children are blessed.

Try to change your position from darkness(spiritual ignorance) to the enlightment, in the company of true Saints. This changes our sadness into true joy.

7. Enlightened selfishness: All of us are basically selfish. Whatever we do, we expect something in return. We should definitely be grateful to those who stood by us. But, our focus should be on the internal satisfaction and the happiness we derive by doing good for others, without expecting anything in return. Perform a random act of kindness daily.
If not anything else, at least pray sincerely, to live in accordance and harmony, with the laws of Nature.

8. Forget and forgive: Don't be bothered too much about others' mistakes. We are not spiritual enough to show our other cheek when we are slapped in one. But for the sake of our own health and happiness, let us forgive and forget them. Otherwise, we will be only increasing our blood pressure.
By forgiving, we gain peace for ourselves.

9. Everything has a purpose: Take life as it comes. Accept yourself as you are and also accept others for what they are. Everybody is unique and is right in his own way.

10. Overcome the fear of death: We all know that one day we have to leave this world. Still we are afraid of death. We think that our spouse and children will be unable to withstand our loss. But the truth is no one is going to die for you; they may be depressed for some time. Time heals everything and they will go on.

WORDS OF WISDOM

Always Remember To Forget
The Things That Made You Sad
But Never Forget To Remember
The Things That Made You Glad.

Always Remember To Forget
The Friends That Proved Untrue.
But Don't Forget To Remember
Those That Have Stuck By You.

Always Remember To Forget
The Troubles That Have Passed Away.
But Never Forget To Remember
The Blessings That Come Each Day.

HOW TO MEET WAHIGURU?

Raag Dhanaasree, Guru Arjan Dev Maharaj.

ਘਾਲ ਨ ਮਿਲਿਓ ਸੇਵ ਨ ਮਿਲਿਓ ਮਿਲਿਓ ਆਇ ਅਚਿੰਤਾ

Ghaal N Miliou Saev N Miliou Miliou Aae Achinthaa

घाल न मिलिओ सेव न मिलिओ मिलिओ आइ अचिंता

We cannot meet the Lord by our own efforts, nor can we meet Him through service; He comes and meets us spontaneously.

In the line above, Guru Jee is telling us, that Wahiguru can not be realized by any of our efforts, punyas, or karmas .... but by His own will or Mauj.

ਜਾ ਕਉ ਦਇਆ ਕਰੀ ਮੇਰੈ ਠਾਕੁਰਿ ਤਿਨਿ ਗੁਰਹਿ ਕਮਾਨੋ ਮੰਤਾ

Jaa Ko Dhaeiaa Karee Maerai Thaakur Thin Gurehi Kamaano Manthaa

जा कउ दइआ करी मेरै ठाकुरि तिनि गुरहि कमानो मंता

One who is blessed by my Lord Master's Grace, practices the Teachings of the Guru's Mantra.

And in this line above, He is telling us, that no matter whatsoever we may do as per our own manmat, means outer practices; but, that we have to do His dhyan and still our minds, with the kamaee of the jap of Gurmantra.

So we can see, whether First Patshahee in the begining of the Jap Ji Sahib, or Fifth Patshaee, here in Raag Dhanasree, or we may take any Gurmukh or Guru Sahiban, all shall always share the same universal Truths with us humans, no matter where or when they are born, but their message for us mankind, shall always be the same, as Wahiguru is only one, whether some believe it or not, but is is always: Ik Oankar, Satnam.

On true worship.

If we do not eat food in the shape of llifless toys, which can not supply us any nutrients to continue being alive.....

How can we think then, that by worshipping lifeless statues, photographs, drawings...etc ..... we can become one with Him?

That is all derivated from brahmanvadee ....

The Bani clearly says: He is within us, we are His living temple, where he is to be worshipped and found.

And He is to be worshipped, not ritually with flowers, lamps, incense or any other outer elements, or even recitations; but only by doing His chintan, His dhyan, His Simran.

First Patshahee, knowing about the huge amount of our manmat, made it clear right from the begining, by simplifying Sikhee for us mugadhs, us moorakhs, us manmukhs, by saying the following words, truly beautiful and full of wisdom for the eternity:

Ik Oankar,

Satgur parsad,

Jap.

There is only one Lord, and He is only realized by His Grace, when we do the jaap of His Naam.

Four Principles Of Spirituality

The First Principle States:

Whomsoever you encounter is the right one"

This means that no one comes into our life by chance.

Everyone who is around us, anyone with whom we interact, represents something, whether to teach us something or to help

us improve a current situation.

The Second Principle States:

"Whatever happened is the only thing that could have happened"

Nothing, absolutely nothing of that which we experienced could have been any other way. Not even in the least important detail. There is no "If only I had done that differently…, then it would have been different…". No. What happened is the only thing that could have taken place and must have taken place for us to learn our lesson in order to move forward. Every single situation in life which we encounter is absolutely perfect, even when it defies our understanding and our ego.

The Third Principle states:

"Each moment in which something begins is the right moment"

Everything begins at exactly the right moment, neither earlier nor later. When we are ready for it, for that something new in our life, it is there, ready to begin.

The Fourth Principle states:

"What is over, is over"

It is that simple. When something in our life ends, it helps our evolution. That is why, enriched by the recent experience, it is better to let go and move on.

If these words strike a chord, it's because you meet the requirements and understand that not one single snowflake falls accidentally in the wrong place!

Sat Sree Akal

Preet Pen Jee,

I would not like to enter into controversies as I respect all opinions and do not want to hurt anybody, cause I am not any scholar, nor any authority in spirituality, and much less in sikhee.

But as you have asked my opinion, I will answer you at the best of my ability and sincerity.

First of all, I do not take any Krishna, Brahma or Shiva, neither their spouses "devis" as any equal to Wahiguru, nor to any Bhagats, neither to our beloved Guru Sahibans, whom I definetely considere temporal manifestations of Wahiguru Akal Purukh for a limited time being. They came here for a particular purpose, which when done, returned back into the Akhand Jot of Parbraham Wahiguru.

On the other side, Vishnu( Krishna, Ram...), Shiva, Brahma and the devis, devtas are very much in the realms of Maya, of Brahm, in one word, under the jurisdiction of Kal Purukh.

Krishna was an avatar of Vishne Jee. First Patshahee, does not mention Krishna as the origin. But for sure He says right from the begining: Ik Oankar, Satnam.

Satnam is composed of 2 syllables, Sat + Nam.

With these 2 particles Guru Jee refres to that primal God/ Power, as Nam, which is also Sat or Sach, means, it is changeless and everlasting.

You see, the path of Gurmat, of Sikhee, is only about Nam or Shabad, the Conscious Energy, with main virtues such as Truth, Love, Mercy.

Moreover, the Bani says: Jug chaarey Nam outam, Shabad veechar. In all the 4 yugas, the Nam, the Shabad, is the only true permanent reality.

The divine trinity and the lesser gods, have ar ole to play in the creation by keeping it in motion; while the Shabad, the Nam, also manifests itself, but in the forms of Bhagat Jan, Sadh Janas, Guru Sahibans, with the sole objective to sing the Apaar mahima of Nam or Shabad, in order to redeem us human from the wheel of 84, which is impossible otherwise.

This is the main difference between sikhee and any other religions.

While, the former take the jeevas up to Swarg, Baikunth or Shivpuri at most, but still very much in the wheel of births and deaths, by engaing the jeevas into puter practices....

While Gurmat takes us, direct into the lap of Wahiguru Akal Purukh, thus free us for once and forever from Maya and Kal Purukh, with the jugtee of Nam Simran alone.

The path of gods is a path which keeps us prisoners in the creation, while the path of Guru Sahibans, is the path of Nam alone, about which the gods and godesses never mention even a word, because they know nothing about it, it is simply out of their reach ..... Being Wahiguru, much much much higher and farther than any of them or even all together ...

First Patsahahee tells us in the Jap Ji Sahib :

ਆਖਹਿ ਬਰਮੇ ਆਖਹਿ ਇੰਦ ॥

Aakhehi Baramae Aakhehi Eindh ||

आखहि बरमे आखहि इंद ॥

Brahma speaks, Indra speaks.

ਆਖਹਿ ਗੋਪੀ ਤੈ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ॥

Aakhehi Gopee Thai Govindh ||

आखहि गोपी तै गोविंद ॥

The Gopis and Krishna speak.

ਆਖਹਿ ਈਸਰ ਆਖਹਿ ਸਿਧ ॥

Aakhehi Eesar Aakhehi Sidhh ||

आखहि ईसर आखहि सिध ॥

Shiva speaks, the Siddhas speak.

ਆਖਹਿ ਕੇਤੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਬੁਧ ॥

Aakhehi Kaethae Keethae Budhh ||

आखहि केते कीते बुध ॥

The many created Buddhas speak.

ਆਖਹਿ ਦਾਨਵ ਆਖਹਿ ਦੇਵ ॥

Aakhehi Dhaanav Aakhehi Dhaev ||

आखहि दानव आखहि देव ॥

The demons speak, the demi-gods speak.

ਆਖਹਿ ਸੁਰਿ ਨਰ ਮੁਨਿ ਜਨ ਸੇਵ ॥

Aakhehi Sur Nar Mun Jan Saev ||

आखहि सुरि नर मुनि जन सेव ॥

The spiritual warriors, the heavenly beings, the silent sages, the humble and serviceful speak.

ਕੇਤੇ ਆਖਹਿ ਆਖਣਿ ਪਾਹਿ ॥

Kaethae Aakhehi Aakhan Paahi ||

केते आखहि आखणि पाहि ॥

Many speak and try to describe Him.

ਕੇਤੇ ਕਹਿ ਕਹਿ ਉਠਿ ਉਠਿ ਜਾਹਿ ॥

Kaethae Kehi Kehi Outh Outh Jaahi ||

केते कहि कहि उठि उठि जाहि ॥

Many have spoken of Him over and over again, and have then arisen and departed.

ਏਤੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਹੋਰਿ ਕਰੇਹਿ ॥

Eaethae Keethae Hor Karaehi ||

एते कीते होरि करेहि ॥

If He were to create as many again as there already are,

ਤਾ ਆਖਿ ਨ ਸਕਹਿ ਕੇਈ ਕੇਇ ॥

Thaa Aakh N Sakehi Kaeee Kaee ||

ता आखि न सकहि केई केइ ॥

Even then, they could not describe Him.

Wahiguru Akal Purukh, is just far superior and majestic ..... beyond any description.

Wah wah Sachay Patshah.

I agree with what you are saying that naam alone is what gives us mukhti.

This is the only eternal Truth.

I read a line in Gurbani where it says that Shri Krishna ji gave mukhti to somebody. So certainly I think it is possible for the satguru of Dwapur yug to give mukhti..

ਪਰਸਨਪਰਸਭਏਕੁਬਿਜਾਕਉਲੈਬੈਕੁੰਠਿਸਿਧਾਰੇ ॥੧॥

Paras napras bẖa▫e kubijā ka▫o lai baikunṯẖ siḏẖāre. ||1||

Krishna was pleased, and so he touched the hunch-back Kubija, and she was transported to the heavens. ||1||

Preet Pen Jee, as seen the line provided by you above, in which taking the soul of Kubija to Baikunth, is nothing extarordinary; and this job is what as most Krishna Jee can do, because it is his abode as Vishnu Jee.

He can take anyone at most to his own place, that is his limitation as a limited being.

Just tell me, since when Baikunth is equal to Sach Khand?

Baikunth is very much in the limits of mayavee creation, on the other side Sach Khand is the abode of the Supreme Being, Parbraham Parmeshawar, Paree Pooran Parmatma, Wahiguru Akal Purukh.

It is in this abode only of Sach Khand, where when the soul reaches with the aid of Shabad Guru, that one is free forever from the cycle of births and deaths, not otherwise.

Sorry to say, there are no other substitutes paths, nor shortcuts.

The Bani is absolutely clear in this respect, when it says :

Nanak, Naam jahaaz hae, jin chareeya, sey utareeya paar.

O Nanak, the Naam, is the vessel, whosoever boards on it, is ferried across.

Let us suppose for a moment, Krishna Jee is the Supreme Reality, even then, he can not take any soul by his will to Sach Khand, without the aid of Naam or Shabad. Means, by making pure paviter that particular soul first, with the jugtee of Naam simran, and then with the indispensable Shabad Guru

Naam or Shabad, is the way through which Wahiguru comes to our level, and through His Shabad swaroop, takes that wadbhagee soul back to His abode, with Himself as Shabd Guru to Sach Khand. Nobody else apart from Him, has that power or authority.

This has it logic also, as per Bani.

Because the Bani simply says: Ik Oankar Satnam, Satgur Parsad jap.

This means, there is only one God, Oankar, Satnam, who is realized by the jap of His Naam, through the Gurparsad.

Such is the Hukum above of Wahiguru.

In mayavee creation there are changes, but there in the realm of Truth, nothing changes, neither the owner Wahiguru, nor the way: Naam, and definetely the soul does not also.

So if the Lord is one, the path is one, the traveler is one, the Shabad Guru is One, how can we think, that for different ages, eras, times, things can change just like that ....

To confirm this, as I said above, the Bani says: Jug chaare, Naam ootam, Shabad veechaar.

Throughout all the ages, the Shabad or Naam, is the only reality.

The Bani talks about Naam or Shabad as the only reality, not about any avatars of the lesser varied divinities as the 3 main gods, godesses, etc..... to achieve true freedom.

I agree, that at some points, some parts included in the Bani can give place to confusion, just as you and some others have mentioned me at other times, and I respect their beliefs; but when it comes to Gurbani, I am sorry, but I will always point out the Truths in the Bani, and even then too, this does not mean, people will believe what I say, but at least I will have my consciousnees clean that I tried my best.

As a general rule which has been useful to me in discerning any type of confusion if ever arised, it is of a great aid, to read much the Bani with attention, and see how the other Bhagat janas, or Guru Sahibans talk about it, and see it as whole, then only I make sound conclusions.

You see, this Sikhee or Gurmat, is not like teaching maths or history in the school...

It is a path of purity, of Grace from Wahiguru, to understand the Bani... it is not in the hands of any person to understand the depth of the Bani, neither it is in the hands of any person to make it understand, it is fully in the hands of Wahiguru.

We must also bear, the Bani is not going to get polluted or get down to our manmukhta level...on the contrary, we can be postive and try to elevate our consciousness, by removing the filth of karmas gathered since countless births, and the only way to do that is by following the root essence of the Bani:

Ik Oankar Satnam, Satgur parsad Jap.

Best of luck Preet Pen jee in your spiritual journey, in which you may feel comfortable as per your beliefs.

Going a bit further with the point of Mukti arised by Preet Pen Jee above, I would like to share a few clarifying words full of wisdom by our beloved First Patshahee in Asa Dee Vaar:

ਨਾਉ ਸੁਣਿ ਮਨੁ ਰਹਸੀਐ ਤਾ ਪਾਏ ਮੋਖ ਦੁਆਰੁ

Naao Sun Man Rehaseeai Thaa Paaeae Mokh Dhuaar

नाउ सुणि मनु रहसीऐ ता पाए मोख दुआरु

Hearing the Name, the mind is enraptured; then, he attains the gate of salvation.

Here Guru Jee is telling us, that by listening to the Shabad Dhun, the mind is defeated.

And once the mind is defeated, the soul is thus liberated from its clutches and its master Kal Purukh. And then proceeds further towards the gate of salvation, which is our Nijh Ghar Sach Khand.

* And all this happens not by the merits or efforts of the soul, but by grace and love of the Shabad Guru towards that particular jeeva/soul.

Then only is Mukti achieved.

Not by interference of any other divinity or god....

Be it Vishnu(Krishna, Ram...), Brahma or Shiva, just to name a few among all these care takers of the mayavee creation.

Then in the following line, Guru Jee tells us about how to listen that Shabad Dhun within us, in order to achieve what He mentioned about mukti in the previous line above.

He says:

ਸਚੁ ਤਾ ਪਰੁ ਜਾਣੀਐ ਜਾ ਜੁਗਤਿ ਜਾਣੈ ਜੀਉ

Sach Thaa Par Jaaneeai Jaa Jugath Jaanai Jeeo

सचु ता परु जाणीऐ जा जुगति जाणै जीउ

One knows the Truth only, when he knows the true method or "jugtee"

So now the question is, what is that method or jugtee by which one comes to know the Supreme Truth?

The answer to that, is the essence of Gurmat, of Sikhee, which is none other, than His simran.

Guru Jee beautifully and in very simple words, directly tells us something which is constantly repeated in each and every ang : Ik Oankar Satnam, Satgur Parsad Jap.

This is the jugtee, which Guru Sahiban, stresses upon right from the begining. This means, do His Simran, and you will merge in Him.

Can we ever be thankful to our Guru Sahiban, for being so merciful on us, by letting us know the Supreme Truth, thus taking us away from manmukhta, from braham, from brahamanavadee ....in which almost the whole world is drowned happily....

Such a pity !

That is so true! But if those people are happy, so be it if they are not harming anyone :) It reminds me of a line in Sri Vishnu Sahasranama, Srimata Parvati ji asks Sri Shiva ji "how to impress or say the Sri Vishnu Sahasranam easily", and Sri Shiva ji said: "Sree Rama Rameti Rame Rame Manorame Sahsranaama Tathulyam Rama Nama Varaanane", which means that Narayan is impressed by the jaap of 'Raam'. So even the Gods know, that jaap is the answer.

Jaap in Sikhi is of Waheguru only and of none other.

A question of attitude and making the best out of it:

Once Wealth And Poverty Approached A Merchant And Introduced Themselves As Goddesses.

The Merchant Offered His Salutations To Both Of Them And Said: "

May I Know What Brings You To My Humble Tenement?"

The Goddess Of Wealth Said: "We Want You To Judge And Tell Us As To Who Is More Beautiful Between Us Two?"

The Merchant Was In A Fix.

He Knew He Was Between The Devil And The Deep Sea.

If He Were To Declare Wealth As More Beautiful Than Poverty, Poverty Would Curse Him.

If He Were To Declare Poverty As More Beautiful, Than Wealth, Would Forsake Him.

However, He Regained His Composure And Said: "I Have Great Respect For You Both.

Would You Please Act According To My Instructions?

Then Only I Can Judge Properly."

The Goddesses Agreed.

He Said: "Mother Wealth, Would You Please Go To The Entrance (gates) And Walk Into The House?

Mother, Poverty! Would You Please Walk From Here Towards The Gates?

I Can Have A Good Look At You Both, From Near And Far."

The Two Goddesses Did Walk As The Merchant Wished Them To.

Then The Merchant Happily Declared: "

Mother Wealth! You Appear Very Beautiful When You Enter The House.

Mother Poverty! You Look Very Beautiful When You Leave The House!"

The Goddesses Appreciated The Wit And Wisdom Of The Merchant.

The Goddess Of Wealth Happily Stayed In His House

While The Goddess Of Poverty Cheerfully Walked Away.

In a similar way, sometimes we are put into tests at the least expected moments, then too we should not loose our balance and handle the situation in a gracious manner as seen above.

That is so true! But if those people are happy, so be it if they are not harming anyone :)

It reminds me of a line in Sri Vishnu Sahasranama, Srimata Parvati ji asks Sri Shiva ji "how to impress or say the Sri Vishnu Sahasranam easily", and Sri Shiva ji said: "Sree Rama Rameti Rame Rame Manorame Sahsranaama Tathulyam Rama Nama Varaanane", which means that Narayan is impressed by the jaap of 'Raam'. So even the Gods know, that jaap is the answer.

Pen Jee,

this example above of Srimatee Parvati and Shiv Jee, is quite clear, that these gods and the rest of them have absolutely nothing to do with Wahiguru.

You see they have genders, which means still very much in the mayavee realms.

On the other hand, thanks to Gurmat, we know that, that Supreme Being is only One and formless : Sach Khand vaseh Nirankar.

There, there are no such conversations, between Wahiguru and His hypotetical wives, souls or Guru Sahibans...

Why?

Because there, He alone exists. This is the eternal and changeless Truth.

If we believe that Supreme being is One, how come, that Being has wife, children as Ganesha and Kartik, then they got married and had a prole of children...and so on

Or he has a trishul as a weapon, then drums, moon on his head , snakes around his neck, sits on a tiger skin, has a bull as his chariot...and the list can go on, not only with him, but as well as with the other superior and lesser gods ....

In conclusion, there is a huge variety of personalities from Baikunth downwards, and on the other side, in sikhee, there is only one Wahiguru....not only that, but whosoever reaches there, leaves far behind his mayavee coverings, to merge and become one with Akal Purukh.

Is not that wonderful and fascinating by itself?

Without any differences of genders, forms, colors, sizes, animals around, planets...nothing of that sort.

I am afraid, many may be thinking, oh so boring, only Wahiguru, Wahiguru and Wahiguru, no me, no my freinds, no ancestors, no this, not that..... maybe that is why the weaker in mind and faith run after the lesser entities with forms and colors, as they get fascinated by all that paraphernalia, or the sizziling maya

If this was the case, it is a real pity, we have not understood sikhee at all.

That is why, the Bani tells us and assures us: Ekas bin sabh dandh hae.

The Supreme Wahiguru is the fountain and source of all wisdom and bliss.

Such is His state, that the Bani says, when there was nothing, He was absorbed in Himself, in the Shabad Dhun state.

So sangat jee, do not worry, the fears and doubts we have in our minds is all braham, on the contrary we have nothing to loose by merging ourselves in Wahiguru, we microscopic minuscule drops, will become the Infinite Satnam Samundar, that is His wadeeayee, His unconditional love for us moorakhs.

Sat Sree Akal.

Paji, there is something telling me that they may have a little to do with Sri Vaheguru ji.. I know this may sound wrong,

No you are not wrong at all.

but how else do they exist if they have nothing to do with God?

They just exist in the same way just as you, me or any members here exist... I mean to say, they too are away from Wahiguru in the mayavee creation just as we are. With the difference that we are lucky, by being in a human form, as we can with the Gurparsad reach Him.

But, for them I feel sorry and pity, they are playing a role assigned to them by Kal Purukh, to keep the souls entangled in the mayavee creation, so no soul goes free from it.

They are here to only make us so much busy with variety, that we may never even in dreams think of Wahiguru, so that we may never even think of returning back to our Nijh Ghar Sach Khand.

And the worst thing is, they are not consciouss of them playing this role, they are unaware of their role.

They too, if ever they will ever get mukti, it has to be as same as for us, they have to be reborn as human beings, come under the shelter of a Gurmukh, take the jugtee of Naam Simran ansd cut their bonds with this mayavee creation.

They can be seen as expansions who are here as protectors of dharam in this sansar. The way I kind of see it is that we focus to meditate on the origonal form of Sri Vaheguru ji which is nirankar aka the form that has no body for birth and death (& thus what we keep dhyan on is what we become)..

They are just administartors to an extent, if we make friendship with them and get attached to them, we shall remain prisoners here, and our objective, our aim, is none other than our heavenly Father Wahiguru alone, none else.

Is my thought understandable?

Of course I do understand you, but do you understand what I have been trying to explain you all these months back, and that is : Ekas(Wahiguru) bin sabh dand hae, sabh koor, sabh mithiyaa, moh maya.

When it is said that Sri Vaheguru has no rishtidars, it seems to be because of advaita vedanta, meaning there is only God, and everything we see is God in this play of sansar..

That is just theory. Because He is right within us, and if we don not see Him within us, how come can we see Him without, which is all perishable....

Rishtedaars are possible when you have any of the triloki bodies, that is for us jeevas as well as the gods, devtas, or demons also, but beyond Braham, there is no form , only Shabad Dhun, and that is the only unique real form of Wahiguru.

Variety of any form is Maya.

The thing is we see everything, but not Him, that is the problem.

Only when we do His Simran alone perefctly, then we shall have His darshan within, and then only, will we able to see Him everywhere and in everyone, till then, we are fooling ourselves with maya...

He sent us to the fair of the world to enjoy and and return back, but we are so absorbed with the play of the juglars, of the clowns, of the magicians, different shows in this huge circus, that we have forgotten our true identity, our origin, that ourTrue Father is awating us with His arms wide open.

He comes as a Gurmukh, calls our attention by singing His Glory through the Bani, but alas, we have made friends with the strangers and we do not pay heed to His words, so we are misearble in the cycle of births and deaths.

Usual New Year greetings...

"Usually we do we greet one another by wishing each other a very happy New year ".

But, " happiness is a state of mind at a given moment in our lives.

We start the year by saying hope the next year is better than this one and wish each other a better year to come, thus we are inviting negativity into our minds by saying so.

The Lord has given us much more than we need, but since we do not have the sense of gratitude, we are not truly grateful for all the blessings the Lord has given us and will continue to give us.

Unfortunately humans are the most ungrateful beings, even compared to animals as we are not happy with what we have and are always craving for more.

If we had even a penny of sense of gratitude of what the Lord has given us including a human life, then we should be truly grateful to Him .

The question is are we really happy ?

Or we all going through a turmoil within our selves ?

The answer lies within each and everyone of us.

The Lord has given us the same wealth which he has distributed equally to all through Naam.

But do we make the effort of realising that wealth which He has given everyone one of us, equally including to the mystics?

The difference is they have realised that wealth through mediation, and this realisation of one self will eventually bring about happiness.

It is very important to have a goal in life, just as we have with our work and our goal for the day.

Most of us don't know our purpose in life, and are simply just existing.

This existence with no objectivity, causes us to react to the events of life. This reaction to life causes misery.

When we start realising the need for objectivity in life, and start realising our real goal, and have inner experience, our questions will be answered.

Till then every thing will be a concept, and knowledge can only bring us to the level of a concept, but not bring us happiness.

Once we realise these concepts through the devotion of His Simran, we will be at rest, and the Lord's grace will give us the real happiness, not only for the new year to come, but rather there will be a drastic change in our lives, from manmukhs we will turn out to be Gursikhs.

And this state of our being, by itself it is nothing, but a demonstartion of His unconditional Love and Grace for us.

Sat Sree Akal.

    • Blase means to be indifferent or unconcerned. However, you perceive my writing on Dasam Bani being reintroduced to be both nonchalant (why don't we bring in another French word) but also emotional and angry at the same time. That kind of makes for an oxymoron; contradictory terms.  When attempting to have any genuine and fruitful discussion I have experienced it is helpful to not speculate or make conjecture about the viewpoints of another. If curious or in doubt, just ask; ask with the innocent interest of a child. Other genuine level-headed people will gladly oblige. Fools like myself may otherwise find injury in your guesswork.   Bringing in Samparda Kathavachaks fixes the symptom not the illness. The root problem that will fester and multiply is unaddressed. Is this a strategy for the long term that will bring unity and togetherness in the Panth? No. I have posted an excerpt of my last post on this topic below for your convenience, often my arguments become TL;DR.     Again, conjecture and scorn for a person you genuinely want to have dialogue with may not be useful. Some may misinterpret your heartfelt intentions.   If I'm not mistaken, it was rescinded after just two years!  Here is the difference: When the Sikhs took the jagir from the Mughals, they took it after deliberation, discussion, and the approval of the Sarbat Khalsa Baba Harnam Singh Dhumma has built no such discussion and consensus building into his strategy, not even with the Sant Samaj. Heaps of them condemn his political choices.  Getting the discourse changed to Gurmat is good. But the underlying problems remain unaddressed; problems that do the most to hold the Panth back as outlined in my above post.  The jagir allowed the Sikhs to consolidate different jathas under the leadership of Kapur Singh into the Dal Khalsa. Factions were brought together.  They used the political calm to develop their autonomous power and establish their sovereignty This was political power and control that they were able to grow for the Panth. The jagir was taken away very quickly, but look at what they accomplished in that time. The Khalsa was brought together in unity to fight for our future prosperity.  I highly doubt the SIkhs who had been hunted down by Zakariya Khan suddenly became enthralled by his friendship. They took the jagir in a collective, panthic decision and likely knew they could be double-crossed. But they mustered their forces and were in a stronger position for when it did happen.  In all the major issues of the Panth that I have outlined in my previous posts, Baba Harnam Singh Dhumma has made little headway in ameliorating them.  No political autonomy is established for the Panth. The Indian government regulated the SGPC, the SGPC in turn is run by Badal and the Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal). There is no autonomy or control of the Panth in its own affairs, we are led by the string where the political elite wish to go.  As I stated previously: Baba Harnam Singh Dhumma's strategy gives the Panth no autonomy, no control, and he has not pushed forward the Panth's interests in any worthwhile long-lasting way.
    • It is by Kavi Santokh Singh Suraj Parkesh Granth
    • This is exactly the same thing which Muslim Kings and army was saying about Sikhs a few centuries ago. In fact, these Muslim rulers were saying that no Sikh is left, however, Sikhs did become rulers of the land after couple of Genocides. I am not saying it is going to be easy with Hindu India, but you are under estimating Sikhs.
    • Sakhi from  Subedar Baghel Singh “Jivan Anubhav” his autobiography. He says one day after his simran he sat down to rest. His Astral body (sookham sahreer) separated from his body went through the roof at a very high speed. His Astal body left the earth behind and ended up in a place where there were various Sant mandalis. He was surprised to see himself in two separate place but mere thought of his body brought him back inside his body.
