What is the purpose of any religion?

And in our case, about sikhee?

True religion is, the one which enables us to become one with Him.

Many get confused, as per which religion to accept and follow, as there are so many in this world, since its creation. Because religions are many, and all of them have something or the other to offer.

Most of them, offer as their highest goal, objectives as heaven, swarg, baikunth, dev lok...etc ...etc ....and engage us in outer rituals, karam kaand, dogmas and practices, thus we continue remaining in the wheel of eighty four, without any chances to escape ...

So, what does Sikhee offers us, or in what does it differ, in comparison to the rest of the paths? It also depends on us, what we want to achieve with Sikhee?

Because it can be that, pearls and diamonds (Wahiguru) are being offered, but, some due to manmat, refuse them, and go for stones or imitation jewelery(lesser entities or dieties).

But in any case, the goal or target in Sikhee, if followed faithfully, is the One Supreme Wahiguru.

Other dharams, base the success of acheiveing their goals, on a varied lesser devotion steps, such as jap, tap, poojas, paaths, pilgrimages, fastings, murtee poojas, flowers...

But, as said above, in Sikhee the goal is only one Wahiguru, the Light of all other lights, based on only one jugtee, one devotion, one True love, and that is nothing than, the Simran of His Naam.

Dhan Dhan Satguru Amar Das Maharaj, in His paavan paviter Bani in Raag Basant, reveals us the secret, the essence of spirituality, and the base of any true religion, in just a line of 6 simple words only

ਬਿਨੁ ਨਾਮੈ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਕਿਨੈ ਨ ਪਾਈ

Bin Naamai Mukath Kinai N Paaee

बिनु नामै मुकति किनै न पाई

Without the Naam, no one obtains liberation.

He says: do whatever you may want, but if you do not hold the pallav of Naam(through its Simran), you shall drown in the painful cycle of unending lifes and deaths.

Guru Sahibans, Bhagat Jan, have gracefully placed before us, the Highest. It is now up to us, to be wise in choosing and accepting it, without the doubt as tiny as of the blinking of an eye.

God..How Should I Pray Your Way

Please Teach Me, Lord ...
I Want To Know Exactly How To Pray.

I Need Some Words
Which Ones Are Right?

Please Tell Me What To Say.

I've Bowed My Head
I Have Knelt Down,

But ...Should I Be Upright?

I've Closed My Eyes,

I've Bowed My Head<
I've Raised My Hands,

Or ...Should I Fold Them Tight?

Do I Stand Up?
Should I Sit Down?

Dear Lord ... What Do You Like?

Are Lights Turned On
Or Are They Off?

Maybe ...Candle Light?

Wear My Glasses?
Take Them Off?

Be At My Desk Or Table?

Should I Whisper?
Speak Out Loud?

Do I Quote The Bible?

What Do You Think About The Time?
Do You Prefer The Dawn?

Should I Pray Fast,
Or Keep It Slow?

Better Short ... Or Long?

I'm New At This

What Are The Rules?
I Want To Do It Right.

How Do I Know
You'll Even Hear

That I'm In Your Sight?

And While I Sat There Quietly
Waiting For Some Sign,
I Heard A Gentle Voice Say,

"Oh, Dearest Child Of Mine ...
Do You Think I Really Care
About The Time Of Day,
Or Whether You Are Standing Up,
Or Kneeling When You Pray?"

"I Don't Care About Your Posture,
Or About The Place You Choose;

Just Open Up Your Soul To Me,
I Have No Other Rules.

Tell Me What Is In Your Heart,
And Tell Me What You Seek;

Tell Me Of Your Sorrows,
And Of Those Things That Made You Weak."

"Speak To Me In Private
About What Concerns You Most

My Child, You Don't Need Lessons,
Just Talk To Me Each Day;

Tell Me Anything You Want, Dear Child,
Anyone Can Pray."

I don't understand the need for such post. The Guru says come and sing the song of bliss with me( Gurbani). Sing Gurbani and not your own words as the above "dialogue with God" suggest. Why go out of your home searching and finding the wrong advice? In your home (Sikhi) the Guru has instructed the student correctly. I guess everyone wants some spice in life....Gurbani get bland at times......

I don't think they are Harsharan jis own words. I've seen this composition before too.

I don't see nothing wrong with it. But I guess some like to pick point and complain about anything. I think it's beautiful. There's are no insults or beadbi in it. It's a sift, compliment of God only.

For those manmukhs, donkeys, ignorants stupids, who take Naam as something secondary, and do not understand its Beant Vadeeayee, nor accept it as the only everlasting, existing and unchangeable reality, or in other words, prefer their own limited corrupted "manmaat", rather than Gurmat; so Dhan Dhan Satguru Amar Das Maharaj, tells us in His paavan paviter Bani in Raag Raamkalee, that nobody can ever love, accept nor understand the value of Naam, if it is not by His Hukum.

He says:

Dhur karam paa-i-aa tuDh jin ka-o se naam har kai laagay.
Those who have such pre-ordained destiny are attached to the Lord's Name.

You see, it is not by one´s own efforts, that one sees Naam as the only Supreme reality, but it is by His Hukum only, otherwise one is engaged in his own manmat...and the funny thing is , he thinks he knows everything, when the truth is, he is no better than the most mentally retarded donkey ....

Gurmukhs, Sant Janas, Guru Sahibans, sing only the praises of Naam .... but the stupid manmukh ignorants do not understand this, thus they can not withstand this wadeeayee of Wahiguru Akal Purukh, as their mind is filled with the filth of haume, of ego .....

But nevertheless, if they ever take into consideration the essence of Gurmat which is Naam, even then, those stained pieces of iron, shall be carried across the bhavsagar, such is the mahanta of Naam.

Sat Sree Akal.

Our Deepest Fear.....

Our Deepest Fear Is Not That We Are Inadequate.
Our Deepest Fear Is That We Are Powerful Beyond Measure.
It Is Our Light, Not Our Darkness That Most Frightens Us.

We Ask Ourselves, Who Am I To Be Brilliant,

Gorgeous, Talented, Fabulous?
Actually, Who ...Are You Not To Be?
You Are A C
hild Of God
.

Your Playing Small Does Not Serve The World.
There Is Nothing Enlightened About Shrinking

So That Other People Won't Feel Insecure Around You.
We Are All Meant To Shine, As Children Do.

We Were Born To Make Manifest The G
lory Of God
That Is Within Us.
It's Not Just In Some Of Us; It's In Everyone.
And As We Let Our Own Light Shine,

We Unconsciously Give Other People Permission To Do The Same.
As We Are Liberated From Our Own Fear,

Our Presence Automatically Liberates Others.”

Definition of Love

Do You Know Why Love Is Blind?

Love Is Blind Coz....
"Your Mom Started To Love You Before Seeing Your Face"

Everyone May Not Be Good
But, There's Always Something Good In Everyone

Never Judge Anyone Shortly.
Coz Every Saint Has A Past
And Every Sinner Has A Future

Always Ask God To Give You What You Deserve,

Not What You Desire
Coz Your Desires May Be Few, But You Deserve A Lot

You Can't Tap Your Back For A Job Well Done.
You Can't Hug Yourself For Comfort
You Can't Cry On Your Shoulders, When Tears Fall.
That's Why You Have Friends In Life,

Let The Relationship Continue To Grow.

True Friends Are Those You Care For,

Without Hesitations,
Without Limitations,

Forgive Without Any Explanations,

And Love Even With Little Communication.

Naam Simran

We may wonder why our Guru Sahibans stress so much on Naam Simran...

The thing is, there in Sach Khand, only Wahiguru Nirankar exists. And as we all know, also, the Unstruck melody of Shabad resounds forever.....

In that way, we have to fill up our beings with His Name, to that extent, that when we are full with it, we become used to it and we will not have any problem there, as there is no Tv, radio, magazines, mobiles, inetrnet and so on.....

It has been seen many a times, people feel insecure, as they are so engrossed in this mayavee creation, that they find it boring even to listen any issues on God and spirituality....

Wahiguru is no less, in that sense.

He has a purpose for us with His Simran, that while living here we become used to the bliss derived from His Simran, that like just as children depend on milk alone, similarly, we also get used with the Simran of His Naam, that much, that with time, each pore, each cell of our being, is filled with His Naam, thus only, can we merge in the Naam there, by His Kirpa.

Sat Sree Akal.

    • Blase means to be indifferent or unconcerned. However, you perceive my writing on Dasam Bani being reintroduced to be both nonchalant (why don't we bring in another French word) but also emotional and angry at the same time. That kind of makes for an oxymoron; contradictory terms.  When attempting to have any genuine and fruitful discussion I have experienced it is helpful to not speculate or make conjecture about the viewpoints of another. If curious or in doubt, just ask; ask with the innocent interest of a child. Other genuine level-headed people will gladly oblige. Fools like myself may otherwise find injury in your guesswork.   Bringing in Samparda Kathavachaks fixes the symptom not the illness. The root problem that will fester and multiply is unaddressed. Is this a strategy for the long term that will bring unity and togetherness in the Panth? No. I have posted an excerpt of my last post on this topic below for your convenience, often my arguments become TL;DR.     Again, conjecture and scorn for a person you genuinely want to have dialogue with may not be useful. Some may misinterpret your heartfelt intentions.   If I'm not mistaken, it was rescinded after just two years!  Here is the difference: When the Sikhs took the jagir from the Mughals, they took it after deliberation, discussion, and the approval of the Sarbat Khalsa Baba Harnam Singh Dhumma has built no such discussion and consensus building into his strategy, not even with the Sant Samaj. Heaps of them condemn his political choices.  Getting the discourse changed to Gurmat is good. But the underlying problems remain unaddressed; problems that do the most to hold the Panth back as outlined in my above post.  The jagir allowed the Sikhs to consolidate different jathas under the leadership of Kapur Singh into the Dal Khalsa. Factions were brought together.  They used the political calm to develop their autonomous power and establish their sovereignty This was political power and control that they were able to grow for the Panth. The jagir was taken away very quickly, but look at what they accomplished in that time. The Khalsa was brought together in unity to fight for our future prosperity.  I highly doubt the SIkhs who had been hunted down by Zakariya Khan suddenly became enthralled by his friendship. They took the jagir in a collective, panthic decision and likely knew they could be double-crossed. But they mustered their forces and were in a stronger position for when it did happen.  In all the major issues of the Panth that I have outlined in my previous posts, Baba Harnam Singh Dhumma has made little headway in ameliorating them.  No political autonomy is established for the Panth. The Indian government regulated the SGPC, the SGPC in turn is run by Badal and the Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal). There is no autonomy or control of the Panth in its own affairs, we are led by the string where the political elite wish to go.  As I stated previously: Baba Harnam Singh Dhumma's strategy gives the Panth no autonomy, no control, and he has not pushed forward the Panth's interests in any worthwhile long-lasting way.
    • It is by Kavi Santokh Singh Suraj Parkesh Granth
    • This is exactly the same thing which Muslim Kings and army was saying about Sikhs a few centuries ago. In fact, these Muslim rulers were saying that no Sikh is left, however, Sikhs did become rulers of the land after couple of Genocides. I am not saying it is going to be easy with Hindu India, but you are under estimating Sikhs.
    • Sakhi from  Subedar Baghel Singh “Jivan Anubhav” his autobiography. He says one day after his simran he sat down to rest. His Astral body (sookham sahreer) separated from his body went through the roof at a very high speed. His Astal body left the earth behind and ended up in a place where there were various Sant mandalis. He was surprised to see himself in two separate place but mere thought of his body brought him back inside his body. Similar stories can also be found in pachmi parkash jeeven sant Karam Singh Hotimardan and Se Kinehya Jeeveni Sant Harnam Singh Rampurkhera.
