Why do they have a Ravidas depiction? He didn't do idol worship at all! Even Ravidassias don't believe Ravidas did idol worship.

Just now, Preeet said:

Ram naam is not a devoid of Gurbani Sahib ji.. Listen to what I posted without a bias, it is a bhakti kirtan which encourages simran.

And once again maybe if you used your brain instead of your own manmat you'd know that Bhai Sahib already addressed all that. Of course you'd call him a liar because he doesn't agree with you. Anything other than Gurbani is devoid of Naam Ras. I could write "God is Great" same message in Gurbani but my statement is devoid of Naam Ras But Gurbani isn't. That whole eulogy is about Rama, an incarnation of Vishnu and the same person Gurbani calls an insect. So please. If you want to worship him go ahead, just stick to posting Gurbani here.

So Im considered to be calling someone a liar because Im not at their level of understanding yet??

You said you didn't agree with him before, He's a brahmgyani. If you don't have his level of understanding then fine, just accept his word and move on rather than attaching yourself to whatever you want. You dont have his level, I don't have his level so use your brain and just accept he's right and move on. But of course that would mean you have to accept that all your thoughts and views are nothing more than lies and we can't have that can we?

Quote

. That kirtan is literally raam naam ustat that someone has written in recent years, & there are so many other Sikh people who write bhajan kirtans for Sri Vaheguru Sahib ji, yet you never question those.

Quote

just stick to posting Gurbani here.

Yeah I clearly am not questioning that. The fact that I asked people stick to posting Gurbani here. Yes clearly I didn't question these. oh god. I've been exposed. Guys quick, Preeto's caught onto my game. I'm asking people not to post trashy stuff and stick to posting Gurbani. Oh the shame...the humiliation.

Quote

Why are you not questioning daddhi sahib jis who create bhajans and sing them in front of the whole Sri Gurdwara Sahib ji? Because you suffer from a bias.

I don't agree with it at all. I only believe Gurbani should be sung along with Bhai Nand Lal Ji and Bhai Gurdas Ji's varans and writings. So where is my bias? Only bias I have is towards Gurbani, something clearly you lack.

Quote

That bhajan can be regarded as towards Sri Ram Chandra ji, your uncle Ram, or Sri Vaheguru Sahib ji (Ram).

Maybe if you bothered visiting their facebook page you'd know its ALL about Ram Chander. So please, cut the garbage that it can be applied to anywhere. By that Logic I could post this song

Lets have a look at the Lyrics guys.

I lie here paralytic
Inside this soul
Screaming for you till
My throat is numb
I wanna break out

I need a way out
I don't believe that its gonna be this way
The worst is
The waiting
In this world I'm suffocating

Feel Your presence
Filling up my lungs with oxygen
I take You in
I've died

Rebirthing now
I wanna live forever
Wanna live for You and me
(Breathe for the first time now
I came alive somehow)

Rebirithing now
I wanna live my life
Wanna give You everything
(Breathe for the first time now
I came alive somehow)

Right now
Right now

I lie here lifeless
In this cocoon
Shedding the skin cause
I'm ready to
I wanna break out
I found a way out
I don't believe that its gonna be this way
The worst is
The waiting
In this world I'm suffocating

Feel Your presence
Filling up my lungs with oxygen
I take You in
I've died

Tell me when I'm gonna live again
Tell me when I'm gonna breathe you in
Tell me when I'm gonna feel inside
Tell me when I'm gonna feel alive

Tell me when I'm gonna live again
Tell me when this fear will end
Tell me when I'm gonna feel inside
Tell me when I'll feel alive

Look guys, a rock band praising God. Asking us to wake up and become enlightened! clearly its filled with Naam Ras.

Im only replying to this so others can read this, since I know you are not at the level to respect bhajan kirtans.

That's about the millionth time you've said im not at this level or im not at that level. You cried ages ago when Simran penji sent you "Let it go" and said you only like listening to Gurbani. Where's that false devotion now? You cry and whine when someone insults or even criticises a Devta, yet you're more than happy to ignore the words of a Purtan Mahapurkh and try to simply slide it away because it doesn't stick to the script you've been fed. Where's that outrage now? You're nothing more than an imposter who constantly tries to belittle others in subtle and underhanded ways. My level is fine for where I'm at. Honestly write all you want but the sad truth is you're nothing more than a pathological liar who wants people to kiss your feet and praise your devotion. Cry all you want but the sad truth is not a single Mahapurkh or Gurbani backs you up. You can't even translate Gurbani properly and rely on faulty translations, yet you decide that suddenly I can't respect Bhajan Kirtan. Sorry to disappoint you but I can understand TRUE Kirtan in the form of Gurbani.

Sorry but that song does not even mention any of Sri Vaheguru Sahib ji's names. I admire your loyalty to Gurbani Sahib ji, but I think we both can agree that we have a lot to learn before jumping to conclusions and thinking that the current state is a good state. I guess this is what cartoon does to people.

You know you don't have to hide behind a Sikh mask and can admit to being Hindu; nobody going to judge you, but when you try to use Sikhi as a shield to preach Hinduism; that's when it gets on people's nerves. Now your insulting his taste in t.v., when you've been watching Bhagat Beadbi of Ravidas.

God doesn't have a name, if you were a true Sikh you'd know that from Jaap Sahib. Nice try but your Devta Pooja Bhajans are just that, don't lump it with the supreme essence of God, that stuff there is trash compared to it. You didn't even know that the name Raam used in Gurbani isn't a name but a divine attribute.

Nice try but that song is talking about a being filling the person with energy and being their life support. You're so biased that just because the word Raam is there you start screeching its about God, when the person who sung it has a page devoted ENTIRELY to Ram Chander.

Well what do you expect. She had no come-back for the fact that she thinks she's got more knowledge and insight than a Brahmgyani, Honestly I'd rather watch "cartoons" than the drivel she does and above all I'm certainly not a massive hypocrite like her, my feet aren't in 2 boats with one sinking down to hell and the other rising up.

Since we're on the topic of "Bhajans" and Blasphemy. Here guy, according to Preeto this is also Praise of God.

I'll let you in on a little secret....this time it uses the word God.

ਗੁਨ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਗਾਇਓ ਨਹੀ ਜਨਮੁ ਅਕਾਰਥ ਕੀਨੁ ॥
Gun Gobindh Gaaeiou Nehee Janam Akaarathh Keen ||
If you do not sing the Praises of the Lord, your life is rendered useless.

ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਭਜੁ ਮਨਾ ਜਿਹ ਬਿਧਿ ਜਲ ਕਉ ਮੀਨੁ ॥੧॥
Kahu Naanak Har Bhaj Manaa Jih Bidhh Jal Ko Meen ||1||
Says Nanak, meditate, vibrate upon the Lord; immerse your mind in Him, like the fish in the water. ||1||

lets not foolishly start slating everyone who praises Gobind.

Bhajans don't mean they are not gurbani kirtan. Bhajans can still be from gurbani. >>some of us automatically associate the word with hindu mat.

Othere praises are just praises but they cant be gurbani. Just like there is lots of other kabir shabads that are NOT gurbani.

BTW. PREET>>Stop trying to pass repeated hindu mat bhajans on Sikh forum, when there is vast amount of gurbani kirtan which is GURU. Bani guru, guru hai bani

    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
    • Good way of putting it, bro. One of the ongoing themes of Gurbani is the fake saint. Whether it's fake babas in Punjab or English-speaking personalities in the West, it's an continuing problem of religion through the centuries (and it's not exclusive to us by any means, this applies to all human societies).
    • First of all, while it's true that Gurbani says slandering a Saint has such-and-such effects, you can't do the reverse: You can't look and your situation and know for certain what caused it. We're not encouraged to mope over our situations but rather to accept the hukam (will). The last line of the very first pauri of Japji Sahib says to live in hukam: ਹੁਕਮਿ ਰਜਾਈ ਚਲਣਾ ਨਾਨਕ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਨਾਲਿ ॥੧॥ hukam rajāī chalanā nānak likhiā nāl .1. O Nanak! By obeying, the pre-ordained order of the Lord's will. Secondly, the astpadhi from which you quoted the Sant ka dokhi verses has this verse at the end: ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰੈ ਤਿਸੁ ਆਪਨ ਨਾਮੁ ਦੇਇ ॥ jis nō kripā karai tis āpan nām dēi . God gives His Name to those unto whom He shows His mercy. So ask for his mercy. Also check out the 7th Astpadi, which talks about the good effects of the sangat of a Sadhu: https://khojgurbani.com/shabad/271/709?highlighted_scripture_id=12007&highlighted_scripture_lang=gurmukhi&selected_content=gurbani I'm not getting into who is a "true" Sadhu in this post.
    • In langar it should be common sense for peopel to find a suitable space to sit. Normally in my local Singh Sabha gurdwara, there is enough space to sit, so I am able to find a space with enough space away from other people. There have been a few times, where there has been a lot of sangat and I have been forced onto a table.  In Slough and Southall Singh Sabha, Park Avenue, I will just sit near another group of men unless I am with family, but again there shouldn't be strict gender separation and instead common sense logic.
