3Ho Does Beadbi Again Dancing

Recommended Posts

good points

Of course,....so much to learn and teach at the same time.......... Where our weaknesses have failed many of us, they have excelled and vice versa

.

excellent point !!

'Chardikala jatha' are hazoori raageez that are in my list of well respected guru kirtanees.

I think that there parents were from the yogi's era, but they are 2nd generation 3ho that have got fully immersed into true sikhi.

but they still hold on to the yogi's insertion of yoga into nitnem bani ucharan e.g bowing Jaap Sahib and teach such practices in their talks at espanola at their gurmat camps :

''insertion of yoga into nitnem''........or is it a yoga kriya done using jaap sahib ??

Am i doing beadbi everytime I work out in the gym with kirtan and gurbani on my music player ?

This bowing to jaap sahib has been discussed previously in thread below and I seem to understand it ok......but maybe thats my problem.

the foremost part for which we uphold our rehat

they do not !!
they have shameless solistice's i heard from someone, its so embarrassing i cant describe it !! it happens in uk
thats one reason why they dont allow native sikh from india to enter their temples and see their programs ?

when you dance on gurubani and make a mujra out of it, no good points are left !!

thats the ultimate disrespect !!

what will oher people think?

we boast so much that singhs saved hindus women !!
what are they doing now? what if some one see's this? can you uphold your head again high?

this little ripple is going to create sunami of bad talk we going to get from others , trust me !!

you are not thinking of it now? but what will happen and what has happened is seriously bad !!

now masa rangars spirit comes what will he say? you killed me because i had a mujra in golden temple?

but you guys are doing it openly , why did you kill me?

do you have any answer?

I had met them they are really nice people, although I truly understand their practices are controversial.

I have a question with the sangat here, No hot heads plz : -

Is there anyway, this situation can be improved without showing them the door out or insulting them??

Do as a normal Sikh people, how we can offer them so much joy and peace from the maryada itself that they understand and start following it.

Remember they are well versed in Gurbani, and has a daily Nitnem of several banis, along with sehaj path. (also their yoga and stuff :blush2: )

Or

We just keep on saying to them BLASPHEMY - BLASPHEMY, bycott, infidels, white-insults, paapi - paapi etc.. etc. and in fear they will come to obey maryada.

much like Brahmins & Islamist do.

problem is when you try to engage them the first thing that comes out of there mouth is 'but Siri Singh Sahib said... / yogi Bhajan says ' they are programmed really strong in the personality cult , I mean they still pray/sing to his Photo every day

VAHEGURU JI KA KHALSA, VAHEGURU JI KI FATEH

intellect4divine Jio, please read the book I linked in the previous post. It will show how much misrepresentation of Gurbani has been done.

We need to get over this whole novelty aspect - yes, they are Western and have come to Sikhi. Sorry to say, but they are on their next generation of Sikhs (born into Sikhi, if you will - their kids) and they seem to have as many problems, if not more, than the Eastern Sikhs. Patit-puna is a thing (Gurumustuk Singh's own words a few years ago on mrsikhnet.com blog), they confuse yoga and Sikhi (again, that linked book shows a deliberate mistranslation of Gurbani to ally Yoga to Sikhi), bhangra and dancing as acceptable to Sikhi (what do you do dancing to? If it is Gurbani it is beadbi of Gurbani. If it is Punjabi songs - the content of most is obsene) and a holier-than-thou attitude amongst some (not all) due to Yogi Sahib's installing his views (ex. Guru Gobind Singh Ji made the Khalsa wrong - again, read the linked book).

Sorry, not buying it. I had a favorable opinion of them previously, but after many of the uncoverings post-Yogi Sahib's death, I am not of the same opinion. There are deep seeded issues in the Western Sikh/3HO community that they need to work through and maybe even decide if they are going forward with Sikhi or yoga. Western Sikhs are also starting to come from non 3HO background - they are some of the most vehmently anti-3HO people you will ever see and have real issues with the way Sikhi is portrayed by the 3HO lot.

Sound like naamdharis... Some problems should be left alone to get sorted out.

As Huge numbers of Naamdharis are now are a part of mainstream sikhi, because of good sikh prachar and their infighting.

Yeah, Thats true...

Yeah, Thats true...

Sikhi is not a popularity contest, if you can't live by a certain set of rules than don't deceive the world and give Khalsa a bad image. It's better to be Sehajdhari and working to actually be a Sikh than it is to be a false Amritdhari. We need diversity, but it should be of colors and not views. This is a good example of a White Khalsa, (Vaheguru bless him)
there is also the Sikhs that converted through learning Sikhi properly, by Bhai Jugraj Singh and BasicsOfSikhi.

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
