More information is needed on this: Who is building this - Sikhs, government, Hindus, Muslims, aliens? If Sikhs, there is a Hukamnama/Sandesh that forbids such construction for the Sikhs. If it is the Hindus/Muslims, maybe a dialog with the Sikh community to find out the intent. If it is the government - time to deeply investigate and understand the intentions, as this is how June 1984 was planned out.

The people behind it are the Hindu dera group Bharatiya Yuvak Sangh.

Our people in India are too stupid and gullible to be able to stop it. A few weeks agao a Sikh delagtion from Amritsar went to the dera in Jharkand saying that it cannot be allowed. The dera turned around and said "OK" "we'll model it on the Hindu Durgiana Temple in Amritsar instead". The Sikh group said "Thanks" "that'll be good".

As soon as the Sikh group left the Hindu group must have had a right good chuckle at the stupidity and gullibility of the Sikhs.

The Durgiana Temple in Amritsar is a direct copy of the Sikh Golden Temple. Thus, this new copy will be another direct copy of the Golden Temple.

Don't expect Sikhs in India to be able to do something about this. They more than live up to their Indian media stereotype.

As mentioned by jkvlondon, this is BLATANTLY done so, the little money, that panjab actually makes off its own back, is further reduced, by that i mean tourism of harmandar sahib. Also its an action of provocation and as jagsawsingh says, our ppl r so stupid, they cant even stop this! Oh and where r the nihang dals? Sweardown they r an absolute embarassment to their ancestral jathedars. Fact is, indian govt has increased the prices of amritsar airport for NRIs, since all panjabis stopped flying to the witches' airport in delhi, n thus makin a loss, then subsequently we r now all flyin 2 delhi now since amritsar is ridiculously overpriced.

Wheres that bandhar on this forum, who questioned the validity of my statement, that sikhs have been slaves since 1849? Chal apna mooh dikha!

Tourism in Jharkhand? Seriously? Jharkhand is right in the middle of the Naxal belt, and these Naxals are the deadliest opponents India has ever seen. These guys never kill less than 100 cops/soldiers each time they attack. So I'd say we can rule out tourism?

Its just another way to tell Sikhs "we can make a golden temple like you". Question is, how will they compare theirs to Sri Darbar Sahib? 24 hour langar non-stop round the clock? Soul-stirring keertan? A history of countless Shaheeds? Where will they get all this from?

They are just trying to piss Sikhs off. The best analogy that came to my mind is this...

Plea changes pandal theme

Amritsars 106-year-old Durgiana Mandir will replace the famous Golden Temple as the theme of the Durga Puja pandal at Bakri Bazar in Upper Bazar area of Ranchi.

Organisers Bharatiya Yuvak Sangh on Sunday agreed to make the needed modifications as a gesture after a Sikh delegation from Jamshedpur visited the capital to point out to them that they did not like the idea of placing a Durga idol inside the Golden Temple.

Twelve members of Dharm Prachar Committee came down to Ranchi to meet the organisers.

We came to know that a replica of the Golden Temple is coming up as the pandal for Bharatiya Yuvak Sangh through Facebook. Since no idol is kept inside the Golden Temple, we pointed out to them that our religious sentiments would be hurt if they place an idol inside the Golden Temple replica and requested them to change the pandal theme, said Harpal Singh, president of Dharm Prachar Committee, Jamshedpur.

They also asked the organisers to curb smoking on the pandal premises. Smoking is strictly prohibited at golden Temple, said Singh.

The organisers also readily agreed.

We had decided to create a replica of the Golden Temple to spread the message of the triumph of good over evil. We never wanted to hurt the feelings of any community, said Basant Kumar, director of the Sangh.

The Durgiana Mandir is only a smaller version of the Golden Temple. Since it is just like the Golden Temple, we will not face any major problem by this sudden change of plans, he added.

Regarding the smoking issue, Kumar said that though they also do not support it, it was beyond their control.

That seriously has to be mega stupid. 'Oh we are sorry we didn't realize that the Durgiana Mandir was actually modelled off Darbar Sahib. What can we do? We are losers....'

It is not their fault. Sikhs outside of punjab been starving from real need of sikh prachar. They are loosing their grounds because they have no resources.
