Community and Volunteer Support Worker Sikh Elders Service

Ref: CSW/SES

NJC Scale 5, Spinal Column 22-25, Starting salary £19,817 (pro-rata)

18.5 hours per week

Location: Leeds

You will provide support to the service users and carers of the Sikh Elders Community in Leeds with the aim of promoting and supporting independence. This will involve assisting the Manager in service development and delivery. You will also be required to develop and run a range of locally based healthy living activities.

You will have experience of working with and engaging older people and have a clear understanding of health and social care issues facing Sikh Elders. The successful candidate will have experience of partnership working as well as excellent communication and organisational skills.

It is essential that you are able to speak and write Punjabi.

This post is fixed term for two years with the potential to be extended subject to funding.
